A 42-year-old man from Glenwood, Ark., died early Saturday in a head-on crash on I-94, just west of Custer, the Montana Highway Patrol said.

The man was driving his Ford pickup westbound in the eastbound lane at 1:45 a.m., the MHP said. At the crest of a hill he collided with an eastbound Chevy automobile driven by a 19-year-old Miles City woman.

The woman was wearing a seat belt, the MHP said, but the man wasn't. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was transported with injuries to St. Vincent Healthcare.

The man's identity has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
