A 21-year-old woman killed in a shooting Thursday outside Miles City has been identified.

Shania Raymond, 21, of Miles City, was pronounced dead at the scene of last week's shooting after suffering multiple gunshot wounds, said Custer County Sheriff Tony Harbaugh.

Law enforcement responded Jan. 25 shortly after dispatch received a call at 10:30 a.m. from a person in the Moon Creek area that a shooting had occurred at his residence. The area where the shooting occurred is about 30 to 40 miles outside of Miles City.

Harbaugh previously told The Gazette that a 21-year-old man, Travis Doss, was arrested in connection with the shooting. Doss also sustained a gunshot to his head, the sheriff said, and was taken to the Custer County Detention Center last week following his release from Holy Rosary Healthcare.
