This picture was taken at the Northern Hotel, Billings, Mont., after retirement of each member and while the family remained as a whole. Percy and Alfa with Eben and Margaret had joined forces with the home ranch of their parents on the East Fork of Otter Creek in the cattle business, Percy retiring in Miles City and Eben in Billings. Floyd and Nora operated independently on a smaller scale on their land adjoining west of the home place, retiring in Miles City. Loran and Esta had resided in St. Paul, Minn., and Harlowton, Mont., with interest in stock inspection, retiring in Billings. Hugh and Chloe, after a short period of ranching and many years with the Forest Service out of Ashland, Mont., retired in Miles City. Harry had been employed on the ranch of Al Berry, Beebe, Mont., retired in Billings and now Miami, Fla. Florence ranched south of Ashland on the Tongue River with her husband and later, as a widow, operated a home for the aged in Billings. Standing L. to R.
