I came to Montana in February of 1960, at the age of 29 years. I moved from a small ranch in Central Texas in a car and horse trailer to a cow camp on the Tongue River, near Birney, Mont.
My parents are Merle L. and Marie R. Church. My mother lives in Billings, Mont.
I attended schools in Arizona, California and Colorado. I was a graduate from Colorado State University in 1959.
I married Mary Jean Casey in 1953 in Massachusetts. We have one child, Justin "Jud" Barry, who lives at home.
I am Executive Secretary of the Montana Grass Conservation Commission.
