I was born Merle Foley at Brownsville, Ore., March 25, 1891. My parents were Henry A. and Sarilda Foley.
I came to Montana in 1917 and filed on a homestead near Garland, Mont., on the Tongue River. I taught school at Garland in 1919 and 1920. In 1920 1 was married to Frank Everson. We had one daughter, Marion Hope, who is married and has two daughters.
I graduated from the Brownsville high school in 1910 and finished my education at teachers college at Mamouth, Ore.; Dillon, Mont.; State University at Eugene, Ore., and graduated at Eastern in Billings, Mont.
My first six years of teaching were in Oregon, two years in Washington, S.D., and 35 years in Montana. I retired from teaching in 1960.
I was married to August Albrecht in 1950. He passed away in 1967. 1 joined the Methodist Church at the age of 12. 1 belong to the Spanish War Auxiliary, The M. E. A., N. E. A., Half Century Club, and at one time the Royal Neighbors.
I have lived at 608 Yellowstone in Miles City since 1947. 1 have one brother, Virgil Foley, living in Scottsdale, Ariz.
