Wow, only 153 posts to go and we hit 100,000!

Thanks again Larry for making/maintaining this site.

100 posts to go ... (well, 99 now).

Will the 100,000th post be something you'd brag about should you attain it?

Posted by Kyle L. Varnell (+3751) 13 years ago
I'm placing my money on either you, Rick or myself to attain the 100,00th post Brian.

Of the three I'd say you have the best odds.

It's kind of an arbitrary benchmark, so I'm not sure.

92 posts to go.

You know, I don't know if I'll get it or not. It'll probably happen sometime tomorrow while I'm asleep. I'm thinking I'll wake up just in time for post 100,026, which doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Of the 3,900 registered users, odds are you three are the only ones who care (well, maybe Josh does, too).

I will lay huge odds that the rest of us MC.commies are just hoping that the contest for the 200,000th post doesn't start for a LONG, LONG time.

Here's a solution:

Just make a separate thread counting down the posts and make 89, well 88 now, consecutive posts

I'm sure that if I get the 100,000th post, there will be a number of people who give me grief about it. If I get it, good. If I don't, also good. Doesn't matter too much. It's not like there's a "post stamp" on our posts that denotes which post came when. Someone - and I'm not volunteering! - would have to click on each and every post to see the exact time it was posted to confirm the order.

Not fun.

(Claims the 100,000th post for himself) Ha HA! What now!?!? I claim that as mine, and so it shall be!!!!

*sigh*

I really must have no life if I'm waiting on the 100,000th post like a vulture waiting for a fresh kill.

If I'm deciphering the URL's correctly - looks like the honors go to Bill Zook:

I was wondering about that, Bridgier. The tags and the counter don't match. I posted my haiku when the counter was 99,999 and it turned to 100,000 after I posted it. But when I looked at the id tag, it had a different number. I don't know what the discrepancy is.

For instance, this post has a tag of 100022. The counter has it at 100015.

I want to see the "long-form" url tags to verify the actual 100,000th poster.

Thanks for the kind words.

Early on, before I added a "visible" flag, some posts were actually deleted from the database -- so that's why the count of posts and the high water id are slightly different.

Yeah, I remember you. You're the wife of some idiot or just the idiot. You're also the kid who liked getting punched in the face. Ever met one of those? Tell him to shut up and he asks, "Why?" Then you punch him in the face and tell him to shut up, but he asks, "Why?"

I bet you give great blowjobs.

Buck- Anger, is one of the signs of your problem, next is denial and so on, again with the computer tough guy thing/littlmans syndrome, but do you know what ever happened to the little man, nobody does he just disappeared, or maybe the big guy took care of the problem. Either way, he didn't win. All of his lame attempts to get attention where just chalked up as BS, strange thats your initials, another funny irony.

No Buck, Don't give up, so many of us want to hear how many more lame ass things you can come up with to just get responses out of us. Please post more intelligent phrases like homosayswhat, please.

See, btme - you don't get it - you won't ever get it. I'm not talking about sex, you won't get that either, you just don't get "it".

I take that back, you will probably get tons of sex. Somehow, people like your parents (those born with peanuts in their heads) manage to produce far more offspring than the Lord should allow. Natural selection does not apply to the human race.

Buck- now you bore me, you define the term idiocracy in society. You are the rare few, that given the opportunity will try despretly for attention, never recieve it until you are standing from the edge of a building, thinking that you would then get said attention, but then being told that you can't kill yourself from a 2 ft ledge. Now that you got said attention but only in the form of being called a moron, you try to steer your hatred for everthing on to people who really don't give a crap, mainly because your just a fake name on a computer screen. If I am so insignificant, why do you try so hard to bring me down. It wont happen, my parents nor my privates have nothing to with anything in any of these threads, so why try so hard. You have no chance with me here, just like you wouldn't in real life society. By the way the last post it sounded almost like you were hitting on me, that won't happen either bud, sorry.

If I can add an extra chuckle to someone's day by saying something like "you give great blowjobs" aaaaand that someone had the laugh because they did the math and realized that the part about getting repeatedly punched in the face resulted in the great blowjob, I'm completely rewarded. I'm sorry it's a math problem that way too many people are having difficulty putting together (as always), but it's really funnier and much more rewarding then saying "you're on drugs, butt, butt, drugs, head injury, butt, butt." You can tell me kill myself all day, that's priceless- I promise, if I have the time I'll insult you as much as I can, it'll only gets better from here, your blood pressure will rise like a fireman's with a needle in his arm. C'mon, you get that, right? You should write it down, it's funny.

Buck I have no problems with my blood pressure going up, or being up. You don't make me mad, I know you can't fix stupid, why try. You are still hitting on me and that is just great, I am moved, but again I am out of your league, I am and would be too much for you. You can't have me SORRY. Still has nothing to do with these threads or post, you are still just a feeble attempt to get under peoples skin. Doesn't work with me, so give it up. Nice touch with BDSM stuff though but it's just not my gig.
