Sometimes, teh Stupid burns but sometimes you can take advantage of it. Lots of folks think you can catch the latest influenza virus from pork. This sucks for pork producers but it great for pork fans. We got some lovely pork ribs, which Steve will be preparing for a certain unnamed person's birthday dinner, for only $1.99 a pound! If I had the room, my deep freezer would be full of ribs! I LOVE PORK RIBS.

P.S. If the Freese family all drops dead of influenza next week, you'll know why.

I've thought for years that stupid should be painful. At least a little bit. There is no doubt that pain would be self inflicted on most of us at some point in time, but I think this world would be a better place to live if the constantly stupid were forced to pay for it with a massive Ibuprofen bill. In this particular case, the pain of missing out on great ribs at a great price would probably suffice.

Isn't Stupid a matter of genetics, accident or self-inflicted brain damage? Like cousins marrying cousins. Or doing drugs and frying your brain cells. Or sadly people with head injuries due to no fault of their own.

Anyway you put it, it's not going to change. So we learn to live with it. We say thanks that we have the ability to think a little more clearly. And we wonder how people manage to get along in life the way they do~!

"I've thought for years that stupid should be painful."

Take solice in the fact that for many, stupid IS painful. Just go to YouTube and search "fireworks gone wrong" or "fireworks injuries."

Unfortunately stupid often is more painful for the people around stupid than the stupid itself.

And where do you get ribs for $2 a lb? I paid $4 at Reynolds Monday.

Amorette made a little mistake in the first post. It was $1.00 a pound not 1.99.

I wondered why the baby-backs were always on sale at Albertsons. Excellent. I hope the pigs stay sick for a long time.

I believe that "dumb" is very often a product of one's environment, but I believe that "stupid" is a choice.
