New Spam Calls.

This morning I have gotten 3 calls, 2 from elderly women, and 1 from First Interstate Bank in Billings. They all told me I had called THEM asking for a credit card number for their credit card. Oddly enough, the elderly women are from Bozeman, and live on the same street according to white pages reverse lookup. The Number on the CID said my cell number, but in this form... 1-951-xxx-x667. (Number hidden for privacy reasons) I found this to be odd, and the nice ladies told me that when they dialed that, it had called my number. (One even knew the song on my ringback tone, MMMBop by Hanson) I am currently on hold with First Interstate Bank, to see what happened with them. Updates will follow.

Have you reported it to the police department?

>> Have you reported it to the police department?

I think they'd likely let Josh off with a warning for the MMMBop ringtone, if he promised not to let it happen again.

Wow! And to think I lost "Man Points" when I said I'm a New York Yankees fan.

Apparently there is a way for these spammers to piggyback off of other numbers. I don't know how they do it though. I get calls from the same place all the time and my caller ID registers numbers from all over the USA.

Hey. Don't diss the MMMBop! BTW It isnt my RingTONE, it is my ringBACK. the one people hear instead of "ring ring". My ringTONE is the standard ring ring, cause it stands out lol.

Remind me never to call you. That is the one song that every time I hear it, I actually get angry at whoever was responsible for it being played within earshot of me. I seriously considered complaining to the manager once when it was playing in the background at the grocery store.

Not only is it annoying and terrible, it's so darn catchy it sticks in your head all day. Insidious.

Hanson ringtones, or ringbacks, mean the terrorists have won.

Calling the PD wouldn't your best bet. Call the state Office of Consumer Protection at (406)444-4500 or (800)481-6896. It's who the PD would likely refer you to anyway.

Wow! And to think I lost "Man Points" when I said I'm a New York Yankees fan.

You're pretty much in the negative, Kyle.

I would just complain to you. I don't know your mother.

I think the just never calling you thing will work out for us though.
