Friday night I stopped to pick up a 6-pack of Guinness Extra Stout. They had some of the Guinness 250th Anniversary stout. It is superb. It is not quite as heavy as the extra stout and doesn't have the "slick" texture of the draught. If you get a chance, check it out.

Wont it be kind of skanky after 250 years? That's pretty old even for wine.

Drink it at room temperature. It will taste the same if it is 250 years old or one year old.

I don't know about you guys, but I have never liked a skank beer. That is just wrong.

I have had plenty of skunky beer, and while that is not much better, at least it's morals are intact.

Two weeks ago I found myself at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, quaffing this.

Those were good, but the flight of cask-pulled ales I had at L. Mulligan Grocer with dinner later that day were even better.
