We drove up to Mount Vernon, WA, today to see the tulip fields. Here are a few photos.

They're very pretty, Colonel. Very pretty. But can they fight?

Couldn't pass up the Dirty Dozen reference, sorry.

Those are very pretty pictures, David. Thanks for sharing them.

Is that by La Connor?

Yes, this is just a few miles from La Conner, WA.

That whole Skagit River valley is rich farmland and there are a number of bulb farms in the area. The field in my photos is just one of numerous fields that are in bloom right now. Some have tulips and others have daffodils. It's pretty amazing to see so many flowers in bloom like that.

Yeah but it just isn't the same as when I first moved up here 10 years ago and all you could see for miles and miles were the fields of flowers. Now you have the one area around La Conner but they used to have fields all the way upto Mt. Vernon.

I used to live in Oregon and those fields remind me of the Glads fields going north on I-5. I wish I had a picture but of course I don't. They are just as beautiful.
