There is a MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers, but they are open to mothers of any age). They usually run an ad in the Star for meeting times.
I believe there's a Baby and Mama (or Dada) class offered by Studio M.

I would suggest now that the weather is warming to try just meeting new parents at the park. Or McDonalds. Strike up a conversation. You never know when it's another parent looking for a friendly face.

Your timing is perfect! There is a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers Meeting) coming up. I've been going to MOPS for a couple of years and it is a very nice, friendly group. We usually have a DVD of a mothering topic, some discussion, refreshments, a short craft, and there are also guest speakers. The topics are great and I've always learned something inspiring. I think you would like it a lot. It's a great chance to meet new moms and make some great friendships.

The next meeting is this Monday night at 6:30, at the Grace Bible Church, 3505 Stower Street, which is behind Wal-Mart a couple of blocks. They provide excellent childcare if you need. If you need childcare you can RSVP Jackie at 234-7056. There will also be a kids book swap.

Hope to see you there!!!

DEAP and the United Methodist Church sponsor a play group at the United Methodist Church building on Friday mornings. Call 874-3502 for more information.

More in the line of support there is a "Give Parents a Break" program. Meets next March 22, 1-5PM. Again call the above number.

"Things to do" and healthy relationships abound at 24 North 11th Street.

When it's summer there will be people with their kids in the park, that's probably a pretty easy way to meet some parents

Ashley,
There are many things to do for people young and old here in town and can I say, welcome to our beautiful town. Disregard most of this thread as others can be unkind when a simple question is asked. I myself belong to the Miles City Women's Club, Girl Scouts, have my own business and Spirit of Women. I have one child 13 and the other 4. I would love to meet you as I believe friends are a blessing. The park is a great place to go now that the weather is starting to warm up and yes, MOPS is a great place to meet other mothers and dad with young children. If you would like to get together and visit or just to chat, give me a call. I would love to meet you. Again, welcome to our town!

Thank you! I would love to meet you also. It seems like everybody that I have met so far including some of my neighbors are just mean and makes me wonder what we saw in this town. It is really nice to meet someone that is nice to you. I think that when people are new to town you should help them and treat them with kindness but really I have not seen that here. so thank you for being so nice!!!
