Thoughts and Prayers to the Families

Last night's event is going to touch everyone in this community. Three families have been shaken to their very roots, and it is incumbent upon us as their neighbors to provide them whatever limited comfort we can.

I want to join with all of you who are sending your thoughts and prayers to the families - but I couldn't do it in that other thread. Here's a new thread - I hope we can keep it focused on the needs of those families, and refrain from any arguments and vitriol. My hope is that this thread will be of comfort to those whose grief is deepest at whatever point in time they are ready to reach outside their closest circles again.

Having just learned some of the details, I am shocked and saddened that a dear friend who went out of her way to make me feel welcome in a new town has had such a heartbreaking and senseless tragedy thrust upon her and her family.

So, to S, may the Lord provide you and your family with the strength of His spirit, the love of His heart, and the peace of His lasting grace through every day and night ahead.

AMEN!

Thanks, Steve, for starting a positive site where friends can express their grief and share condolences with the families and loved ones of last night's tragic circumstances.

Miles City: As this tragedy unfolds in the news in the next two days, use this space to share your condolences. To share your grief. To share stories of the persons involved in this tragic event.

The people involved, as well as their families, have touched your lives in some way. Share.

No story of their loved one will be too insignificant or silly for them to cling to.

May God guide you and bless you all as you deal with your own personal sadness and grief surrounding these events.

Can someone give me the names? Based on the age, I'm curious if I know them.

I think it prudent to not reveal names of victims and families until the Miles City Sheriff's Department and Miles City Police have first done so.

We will all wait until the local Miles City law enforcement has released the names of victims and circumstances within the next couple of days.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the families. I also know all involved and hope that they have the strength to overcome this unthinkable pain.

May God be with the families in this time of need.

HoooKaay - Let's try this again.

This thread is for THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS for the FAMILIES. It is intended to, at some point in time, provide a source of comfort to those who have been affected directly by this tragic course of events. All the rest of us and our curiousity do NOT matter in this thread.

This thread is NOT for inquiring about names or posting news articles. If you want to do that, start a new thread.

Today I burn a Mulberry candle as I reflect on the young female victim.

The candle scent reminds me of her--sweet, intriguing, and fueled by a special, fiery flame that her mother instilled in her.

Her father will miss his fatherly pride in her. Her brother will miss the brother-sister banter with her. Her Mom will miss her, and miss her, and miss her.

I will always remember a beautiful smile, an extemely talented woman, and a lovely heart. My prayers are with all of the families right now. I hope that we will be able to come together as a community, as a family, and show everyone who is hurt by this tragedy that they are not alone. Let us all bind together and heal these wounds with love and compassion for everyone involved.

between the 2 children who were killed in the house fire not long ago, and now this, I am saddened by the tragedies. All those affected by this are in my prayers.

The Cowboys won a State Championship today but the Miles City crowd had a dark cloud over it's head and was melancholy. Life is forever changed and a brilliant light has passed from view. I am sick. I am angry and I am hurt. Why??

Many times in life, there is no "why?" Or if there is, its so complicated and/or depressing that our minds sometimes fail to comprehend at first, and it usually just leads to more questions.

All my best, Miles City. Take care of each other.

O'my Luve's like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June: O'my Luve's like the melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry.

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o' life shall run.

And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve! And fare-thee-weel, a while! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' 'twere ten thousand mile! Bobby Burns

Bonny Lass, you will be missed.

Condolences to all involved and affected by this horrible event. The world is a little less beautiful without Catherine Woods in it.
