Great Sports Bar, Golden Spur Casino
Posted by Jeremy Orthman (+443) 15 years ago
I only get to make to Miles City once every couple of years, but I am a huge Giants fan and always look to catch thier games. I was surprised that it seems the Golden Spur is the only Sports Bar in town that has the NFL ticket. I was very impressed with the service and the staff. The menu was a little dissappointing (wish there was more), but I was surprised more people in Miles City are not taking advantage of this great little sports bar. Everyone needs to rush out there to and take advantage...

Boy am I glad to hear that the Spur has the NFL ticket...I am always stuck going to the 600 to watch the Giants on Sundays, and then we get stuck in the back behind the casino with a teeny TV. You can bet that next weekend we'll be in the Spur...Thanks for the heads up! (and I worked there before too, so I know it's good!)

Not really pertinent to the immediete subject but it did remind me of something. When I lived in Seattle there was a local sports bar there that had a HUGE party for the Cats Grizz game every year. The place was always packed for that game. Was interesting to meet so many people who were from Montana and still loved it but were living in Seattle area.

Yeah, I know...but it's rather hard to escape the smoke in the Texas club...I need to think about buying the ticket for my own house...if only the start of football didn't coincide with the end of the baseball season--now there's a reason to watch TV!!! I'd go just about anywhere to watch the MLB playoffs, but they are usually just on the networks.

MCgirl,

wow, another Giants fan...For years I thought I was the only person from MC that was a Giants fan. Would have been nice to have a fellow fan there to see the Giants game with. Do I know you?

J-Dyba,

It wouldn't have been FX McRory's by any chance would it? It's probably the most popular one in Seattle and shows tons of sports games. It's located across the street from the new Seahaws Stadium (I refuse to call it Quest Field) in the spot where the old Kingdome was.

Kyle,

My guess is it's the Spot Sports Bar and Grill (formerly known as the Spot Tavern) in Renton. They regularly host M.S.U. alumni events including the Cat-Griz games. You're from Kent, aren't you? The Spot is practically in Kent on E. Valley Rd.,so perhaps you know of it.

Dave,

I do know where it is. Being from Kent one would think I'd remember that. It's a pretty good place to go too if you're looking for a good bar...especialy one that caters to Montana Grizz fans!

I haven't been to The Spot in quite a while (I have a one-year-old and he has a way of keeping me out of the bars) but one of the things I enjoy at The Spot is their "House Special" pizza. Yummm.
