FYI: Emily asked me to post her message to the discussion forums:

I found this Miles City web site while conducting a search today and, being from Miles City, thought people that frequented this site might be interested in knowing about an article we are publishing in our Winter issue of MONTANA THE MAGAZINE OF WESTERN HISTORY by Jeffrey V. Pearson called "Nelson A. Miles, Crazy Horse, and the Battle of Wolf Mountains." Struggling through brutal cold and deep snows of southeast Montana's Tongue River Valley in January 1877, troops under the command of Colonel Nelson A. Miles searched for signs of the Lakotas and Northern Cheyennes who Miles was determined to force onto the reservation. The fierce battle that ensued would be the last engagement of the Great Sioux War, one that proved, in Miles' words, that the army could campaign in winter and "hunt the enemy down in their camps wherever they might take refuge."

We weren't sure which section we should advertise this under, or even if you discourage advertising on your site.

If you need more information or would like to order a copy, let us know. You may contact us on our website at or by phone at 1-800-243-9900 (ordering line) or contact Tammy Ryan in the publishing office at 1-406-444-4708.

Thank you for your time.
