Wow, that was weird. I could see it going either direction. What does that mean?

I see it clockwise. If I look away, such as to read the text on the left, in my peripheral vision, then I see counter-clockwise... but when I look directly back, it only lasts for a short period and switches to clockwise again. Weird.

I could see it both ways. It would stay in one direction but then if I closed my eyes and opened them again it would sometimes reverse directions. I would say it was counter-clockwise more than clockwise for me though.

That was awesome, I am definitely heterosexual.

If you drop some acid you cannot see hear at all but you sure can hear her.

She was definitely turning to the right or clockwise for me.

I can see her spin both ways - it helps if you focus away from the illusion. It's really not a right brain left brain thing, though. It's an optical illusion. So don't fret you right brainers.

When I looked at it, the figure would move one direction for half a turn, then switched to the other direction for half a turn, etc.

I looked at it for awhile... the figure stopped.. looked at me with hands on her hips like she was getting impatient or something... then she started spinning again... stopped.. bent over.. then threw up

I can not, for the life of me, see it going counter-clockwise.

Nice boob detail.

And now I'm losing my mind trying to see it go the other way.

I watched it for about two minutes. It started going clockwise, then switched to counter clockwise. Then after about 45 seconds it went clockwise again. I am going to guess that it changes, not our use of our brains.

All you have to do is focus on where the legs cross.

Uh huh huh.

When she spins to where you have a side view, whichever leg you perceive to be in front will tell your brain which way she's spinning. Since they're the same color, and there's no depth, it's really up to your brain to pick.

So focus during the side view and try to tell yourself the "front" leg is actually behind the other leg.

I tended to focus counter-clockwise at first, until I turned it around. I don't think it has anything to do with brain function. Maybe which eye is dominant.

Pretty clever. Kacey appears to be correct.
Watch what leg is the pivot leg and you'll see that it switches occasionally, reversing the direction the image is spinning.

I am going to guess that it changes, not our use of our brains.

It doesn't I am a huge geek so I opened it up and de-constructed it so I could look at it frame by frame.

It's just an animated GIF file with only 34 frames, so it can't really be changing.

Besides, once you get used to it, you can make it change directions almost every time around, just by the way you look at it.

Yes, all you need to do is have two people watch it simultaneously. You'll eventually be at a point where one person sees her spinning one way and the other person sees her going the opposite way.

I find that if I focus on the spot where her left toe passes near the left or right edge of the frame I am most likely to perceive a change in direction.

Now that we've taken it apart I have a hard time seeing anything other than a wierd figure-8, where her outstretched leg always seems like it's coming from the back.

Didn't catch fire quite like Pornogeraphy.

BTW, kudos to us, we're now #1 and #2 on Google's "pornogeraphy" search.
