Max Hay will perform in Miles City December 22nd starting at 8:00 PM. The show, on the stage at Miles City Books and News, will feature Max's unique blend of African, Jamaican, Irish, Appalachian, and Blues rhythms.

The Missoula Independent has called his music "red-hot hillbilly reggae".

Max draws from influences like The Clash, Johnny Clegg, Tom Waits, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Ween, John Hartford, Sean Paul, The band, Lyle Lovett, and Bruce Springsteen.

Check out Max at: http://profile.myspace.c...5407

Performing with Max will be former Miles City native Vince Stevenson. Vince is currently residing in Missoula, making music and going to school.

Admission is free with donations gladly accepted- we'll pass the hat!

Hope to see you there!

This should be good. I've never heard Max but I know that Vince Stevenson is a great songwriter and performer. I'm excited to see these guys.

By Tucker's "Huh" that makes me wonder if there is a scheduling conflict.

Nope, all is groovy in Tuckerville. It is just that I was unaware of the concert until I read it on MC.com. My loins are now girded (and you know how well I like my loins girded) so I shall sally forth and bring my full weight (which is considerable)to bare on what promises to be a great evenings entertainment.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

The Max Hay (Feat. Vince Stevenson) show will be FRIDAY NIGHT, not Saturday. The show will take place at Miles City Books and News Friday, December 21, 2007 at 8:00 P.M.

The show will go on at the new time to avoid a conflict with the Pagan celebration of the Solstice on Saturday night. Apparently, there is a large ritual celebrating the Winter Solstice planned for Saturday night somewhere here in Custer County. I hear large fires, ritual beverages, and such things may take place..... but alas this post is about the music.

Much music and song will spew forth from the stage of Miles City Books and News this FRIDAY night! Come one come all, partake in the pleasure that is brought by hearing Max Hay (feat. Vince Stevenson).

Blues, Reggae, Folk, Irish, Rock, Punk- they'll play a bit of all.

Be there, or be square.

How dare Vince. One of my former students is going head-to-head with my Christmas Program tonight.

Man, I'm digging out his permanent file and write some things in it I ignored all those many, many years ago.

How the Grinch Stole (Found) Chirstmas -- tonight 7 p.m. Sacred Heart gym. We've even got a Mount Crumpet.
