My water bill arrived today. Included in the envelope was a notice that our water disinfection failed--September 25, 2022. I confess I am often late with things; however, I do believe that was more than a year ago. Does anyone know if this was a simple "cut and paste" job on the old notice without making the date current or if it is a case that someone decided we really should get a copy of a year-old notice? I haven't seen anything about failed disinfection recently so I'm not sure what's up. Does anyone else know? Thanks!

They screwed up again in September of THIS year. I think they are legally required to notice consumers and forgot. Current city water dept. is not running very well.

The recent "boil water" order was issued and then lifted in latter August of 2023. Are you saying that subsequently, in September of 2023, the water treatment plant again failed to meet disinfection standards? Or is this incorrectly-dated notice pertaining to what happened in August?

My guess is that they are as good at proofreading as they are at following established procedures.

Ever since the boil water notice was lifted, the MC water has a awful taste, they need to re-think something because it is not tasting good at all, I run all my water through a filter.
