Has anyone else noticed that the cell service in town gets incredibly slow quite often? From what I've noticed, the three Verizon towers here apparent;y aren't able to handle all the network traffic at peak times. It's incredibly annoying as I like to stream podcasts, music, and Youtube videos while I'm at work. Just yesterday evening at around 7pm I did a speed test to find out that I was only getting around 70kpbs down, which is only a little faster than old school dial-up. Last I checked, we are living in the year of our lord, twenty twenty-three. At those speeds, streaming anything is impossible and simply loading images or webpages takes several minutes.
I'm thinking Verizon needs to seriously overhaul their equipment, as sending users back to the stone age of the internet on a daily basis is unacceptable in this day and age.

Welcome to Miles City. Cutting edge innovation isn't a "thing". Personally, I like that my phone doesn't work in the Montana, Bison, or Trail Inn.

Oh yes I'm well aware. I've lived here my whole life.
I'm just fed up with the broadband internet infrastructure in our corner of the country being a total joke.
And I'll admit, I'm a hermit. Literally all I do is work in an office and then come home to play video games. Not much else going on around here that I'm interested in. Hence why I am rather displeased with the lackluster broadband services here.

My pile of garbage HP computer streams up to 2160p with Mid Rivers. No trouble downloading five or six 1080p videos simultaneously, even while streaming a 1080p movie.

My phone is on Straight Talk. I text somebody most days and I make maybe one phone call per week. Main use is for internet radio in the car. Phone and wifi both disappear when I get out of town but I don't care. Being in touch is highly overrated.
