Mrs. Eva Gold
Mrs. Eva G. Gold, 91, 908 S. Lake, died Monday night at the Holy Rosary Hospital where she had been admitted the day before.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gold will be in the Chapel of Graves Funeral Home. The time and date of services will be announced later. Burial will be at the Custer County Cemetery.
Mrs. Gold was born Dec. 6, 1890 in Miles City a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Griffin. She attended schools in the Stacey area. She was married to John Gold July 11, 1910 in Miles City and was postmaster at Stacey for 20 years. She and her husband lived in Stacey until 1950 when they moved to Miles City. Mrs. Gold was Clerk of School District No. 90 for many years at Stacey. Mr. and Mrs. Gold celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July 1970.
She was a member of the CowBelles, St. Mary's Guild of the Episcopal Church, the Range Rider Reps and the Ash Creek Home Extension Club.
Survivors include her husband, John; one son, John Gold, Volborg; three daughters, Mrs. Lynn McFarland, Miles City, Mrs. Alva Howard, Volborg, and Mrs. Eugene Wood, Volborg; two brothers Ray Griffin, Sheridan, Wyo., and Melvin Griffin, Belfield, N.D.; one sister Mrs. Agnes May, Harrison, Mont.; 17 grand-children and 19 great grand-children. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one daughter, Jessie Jensen.
