Is everyone on this site or otherwise in Montana independently wealthy? If so, Giantfart is your favorite governor. If not, you may want to check out his latest body slam on Montanans. No it wasn’t some unsuspecting journalist he could sucker punch. This one is a hit on most everyone in this state. He vetoed the bill to expand a state and federally-funded program that would keep Montana’s seniors in their homes with in-home support..

Senate Bill 296 would have moved assisted living into the Community First Choice program, a Medicaid program that encourages independent living by providing in-home care assistants to support activities of daily living. Asshole Giantfart objects to a program that keeps seniors in their home rather than transitioning them to expensive institutionalized care. If you’re young enough to feel this doesn’t affect you, think about it. What about your parents or your grandparents?

Giantfart said “there is no provision enabling DHHS to ensure that recipients have not exploited the eligibility system by transferring their assets.” Sir Giantfart wants regular Montanans to exhaust all their assets before they are eligible for any assistance program. SB 296 was a bipartisan bill. Is there anybody out there who would let Giantfart into their home to use the toilette?

As someone who has an aging parent that I am struggling to keep in their home, I would have welcomed this program. I would not even mind paying for the service, just to have it available would be a lifesaver for my Mom and a sanity saver for me.

Giant Fart is only interested in bills that benefit the wealthy and the ChristoFacists. He really does not care about us commoners.

Of course, should my Mom ever have to go to a nursing home (if you can find one with space), her assets would be gone in about 10 months. No chance of "hiding" them to scam the government. Wouldn't it be better to keep her in her home with us paying for her keep than to have her in a nursing home and after 10 months, then the government pays from $7K on up for who knows how long?

You can be sure, he has his assets protected in some sort of trust in Switzerland or the Bahamas (wherever cooks hide their money).

Two bills that received bipartisan support to assist and protect the lower income people in this state were both vetoed by Giant Fart. Because, you know, poor people who live in (ugh) trailer parks shouldn't be protected from greedy land developers and old people who (ugh) need help staying in their homes and out of the (closed) rest home should expect to be bankrupted and on the street if they weren't rich enough to afford private care.
I hate Giant Fart almost as much as the Orange *ss.

Greg Giantfart, the new standard in gaslighting.

While vetoing this legislation is horrible, it's not like the current system is all rainbows and unicorns. This legislation would have provided an opportunity to maybe fix some of the inadequacies. Under the current system, as long as you have any assets on the monopoly board you are expected to divest yourself. MT has become a horrible place to grow old and die.

Hypocrite Giantfart is again taking credit for a program that he opposed and this time even vetoed.

He killed $30 million for Habitat Montana to fund wildlife habitat, public trails, state parks, working lands, weed management, and water conservation with his veto of SB 442. Then last week he posed for a photoshoot celebrating the opening of the Big Snowy Mountains Wildlife Management Area that came about through Habitat Montana.
