Special Counsel John Durham was appointed by Bill Barr to investigate the investigation by the FBI into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to interfere in the 2016 election. The purpose was to determine if was FBI investigation was politically motivated (ie: deep state conspiracy) and to counteract the Mueller investigation.

We all know the outcome of the Mueller investigation. While there was not enough evidence to prove that Trump personally conspired with Russia to interfere with the 2016 election, there were numerous links between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Also, 34 indictments and several convictions of Trump campaign personnel. The investigation uncovered a concerted effort by Russia to use social media to help Trump get elected, and hack into the DNC. The investigation also did not exonerate Trump from possible obstruction of justice by trying to interfere in the Mueller investigation. Unfortunately, good old Bill Barr covered for Trump.

The John Durham investigation concluded back in September and we are still waiting on his final report. But, there has been no proof of any "deep state" conspiracy against Trump. In fact, some are calling for an investigation into the John Durhma investigation due to the abuse of power by Barr and Durham. Evidently, Durham overlooked evidence of financial crimes by Trump that was uncovered during the investigation.

Basically, we found out that the Russian Collusion investigation into Trump was completely justified, and not politically motivated. There was no conspiracy against Trump by the FBI. Evidence was uncovered of even more financial crimes by Trump, and Bill Barr and Durham are even more corrupt than those they were investigating for corruption.
