I agree with Willie and Warren. Although Willie isn't rock n roll, looking at the earlier inductees that doesn't seem to matter.

Sheryl Crow maybe, but Cindy Lauper? Meh. I'd rather focus on who's not in and not nominated, who I think should be in:

J. Geils Band
Ted Nugent
BTO
Bad Company
Rory Gallagher
Foghat
Grand Funk Railroad

Tell me that there are any nominees this year who out rocked those acts.

Who cares?? A bunch of self-styled "experts" are telling you who the best performers are without asking or caring about your opinion.

I've been a Willie Nelson fan for more than sixty years. He's not a rock and roller, but "they" want him in the hall of fame. It's as meaningless as the Oscars.

I'm surprised Cyndi Lauper's not in there after all these years. She's in my hall of fame after hearing her "Heartaches by the Number". She's more country on this one than anybody on country radio, and a good woman to boot.

Iron Maiden: Classic heavy metal band.

Soundgarden: RIP Chris Cornell. The best vocalist of his generation. I was lucky enough to see him at Red Rocks a couple of years before he died.

Rage Against the Machine: Tom Morello is amazing.

I would also pick the White Stipes, but aren't they a new band?

As much as I love Willie, he is country.

Willie just won a Grammy for best country album of the year. It's a good one.

The newest members to be of the RNR Hall of Fame are:
Kate Bush
Sheryl Crow
Missy Elliot
George Michael
Willie Nelson
Rage Against The Machine
The Spinners

My picks that made it were Sheryl Crow and Willie Nelson
My picks not making it were Cyndi Lauper and Warren Zevon

Like the picks of Rage Against The Machine...Tom Morello and The Spinners which I voted for all the time.
Really Disappointed that Warren Zevon didn't make it.

It is kinda nuts that the only reason Kate Bush is probably nominated is because of her song being featured heavily in the latest season of Stranger Things.

My picks from that class are definitely...

Rage Against the Machine, Iron Maiden, and Sound Garden.

Willie is great, also not Rock N Roll.

Cyndi most likely deserves it. I love some Goonies R Good Enough, Time After Time, True Colors, and the classic Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. But I never listened to like an entire album of hers. So I'm just kinda ignorant on her.

Rage changed the landscape of Rock and Roll and Morello is a guitar icon and their sound is still influencing a lot of rockers today.

Maiden basically owned the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and heavily inspired the thrash metal scene in America, there is no Metallica without Maiden. Plus Bruce Dickinson can wail.

Sound Garden deserves in on the strength of Black Hole Sun alone, but that whole SuperUnknown album is amazing. I also agree that as far as grunge goes, Chris Cornell was hands down the best vocalist from that era and style.

My picks,

Warren Zevon, My Fave.
Cyndi Lauper, Way overdue.
The White Stripes, Not a fave but have a chance.
Sheryl Crow, Probably has a good shot.
The Spinners, I mean, come on, "Rubber Band Man."

Oh well, Two out of five. I'm happy about the Spinners, rockin' it since 1954.
