When you get done whining about your broken fingernail I will tell you some REAL horror stories about doing business with century fink. (combination of fail and link)They had 7 or 8 accounts open for me at one time.Yes you guessed it.None of them ever ever worked.Sorry about your hangnail.Sounds painful.

I am right there with you. They just "fixed" mine two days ago only for it to still not work two hours later.

Friend has been without internet -- which she uses extensively for her business -- for more than a week and was told it would be mid-September before someone could come out and look at her problem. Yes, MidRivers is expensive but they don't say, "Oh, a month with no internet connection. Huh. Tough."

On September 14, 2020, CenturyLink, Inc announced that it had changed its name to Lumen Technologies, Inc. Effective with the opening of the trading day on Sept. 18, 2020, the company stock ticker changed from CTL to LUMN. The CenturyLink brand will continue to be the customer-facing brand for traditional copper-based services. Fiber-based products and services will use the brand Quantum Fiber.

I have been in contact with Spectrum and they are expanding to all of Montana. The gal I talked to said she flagged our call to her boss, her bosses boss, his boss and corperate. She was already 3 or four time higher up than any I have spoken to before.

Since Midrivers is quitting TV and they do not provide us with unlimitted data, she said she would follow up with her bosses. She said they recently expanded what she called the Oregan Expansion to Malta and several cities before that, but that it looks like they may need to consider coming down the I-94 corridor soon.

They are coming, it is just a matter of time. They provide unlimitted data, and they they have signed a contract with the federal government to provide 30MB down internet for $30.00 with no caps. Actually they are providing 100MB down for the $30.00 for qualifying customers she said.

With Midrivers going to shut down the local office and TV option she called our situation desperate. I do not know why she called it that, but she did.

She said spectrum has been planning on coming to all of Montana.

That's good news when or if it ever happens. I can't imagine it without gov support due to our small population in eastern Mt. Maybe we can get Matt Rosendale to support this. LOL

Go to their website. It shows no TV option and when researching it I found they are quitting tv and keeping internet and phone. I was also told they are pulling the office out of Miles City. You are more than welcome to contact MidRivers and hear it for yourself.

Spectrum just expanded to Conrad, Chinook, Malta and one more city up north. The populations were from 600 to 2000. I pointed out that coming down I-94 from Billings there is more population and if they go to Glendive and Sidney they would add more. That is when she told me they were planning on doing just that and that actually they are planning on being everywhere in Montana.

I do not know if they are going to get government assistance or not, but I know Midrivers sure took it to be here with fiber.

Who told you is what I'm asking? A midrivers employee? Or is this a rumor you heard around town?

I was referring to Timothy's comment:

With Midrivers going to shut down the local office and TV option she called our situation desperate.

I'm aware of the cable TV. I'm asking where he got his info about shutting down the local office.
