Friends of mine in Miles City have been texting me pictures of huge piles of snow. Ouch. Just remember, we need the moisture. Worst thing about this storm, it must be hard on the newborn calves.

Here in Helena, it all but missed us. I wouldn't even call the trace amount a skiff. Yet 15 miles south of us, Clancy (to the east) got 2 feet of snow, while Rimini (to the west) got 3 feet of snow. I guess to the north, Great Falls got hammered as well. Weird that snow would fall around us and we would get nothing.

If this had hit us closer to the end of the month it may have caused a major cut in grasshoppers later on. But, better than that, if it had waited it could have knocked out the cotton production of our valley trees. Oh well..........

So, Gunnar, you're saying it doesn't snow in Hell-ena?

No, we have had many instances of 2 plus feet of snow falling down here, aand no where else, and I have texted similar pictures that my MC friends have sent me today. I just can't recall a similar storm where we didn't get anything at all.

Tons of snow behind us in the mountains to help the snow pack while none in town for me to shovel. I would call that, the Good Lord Blessing the Righteous Who Reside in Montana's Capital.
