Misinformation or Lying?

I don’t recall the widespread and continuous use of the term misinformation prior to the orange headed liar king’s arrival on the political stage. There was an article in the Gazette this morning entitled “All of Society Must Fight Misinformation.” How about we start with an analysis of the word misinformation? It has only been of recent that misinformation has replaced harsh words such as liar, lies and lying. In court the witness is not cautioned that misinformation testimony is a felony punishable by time in prison.

As lame as "misinformation" is, I guess I prefer it to the Orange Dotard's other term, "alternative facts."
