Hoping for some assistance from the milescity.com sleuths.
In going through things in the attic of the garage, I found several letters written by Warren Hamel to his wife, Maxine, in 1927. She had gone to visit family in Virginia. I believe Max and Warren were married in 1919. Both passed away in the 1980s. Despite my computer search challenges/limitations, I managed to locate one of their grandchildren in Arizona and have chatted with him on the phone (told you I am old-fashioned--of course he was a bit startled to receive the call about his grandparents from someone he'd never met). Both of their children are deceased now; however, there are additional grandchildren (his siblings) and they are interested in getting the letters and some of the other "treasures" that belonged to Max and Warren that were left here when they moved into Eagle's Manor.
I believe Max was a beautician at one time (yes, I even found some of the old metal rollers in their belongings) and suspect she worked at (or perhaps owned) the Mariposa Beauty Parlor. Since Warren was using the letterhead, it may or may not have still been in existence in 1927. There is an address (of sorts) and a three digit phone number. I rather liked the $.02 postage, as well.
I thought it would be wonderful to provide their grandchildren with a bit more information if possible.
Here's the letterhead and thanks for any help you can provide.
