I'd prefer a national day for the under-served to vote on a designated holiday. Will the Pres do that, more important. I'll volunteer to drive those who cannot make it on their own means.

You can blame Moscow Mitch for shooting down the "Election Holiday Act". Can't have too many people voting.

Louie Gohmert sounds a lot like Hank Thompson when Hank feared that Guam may "tip over". Do you really think Hank fears that? Well, maybe. I see Gohmert's comments as being sarcastic. I see plenty of video's from the other side as well, I don't bother to post because it so easy to make people look like fools. Hell, I look dumb on here, maybe I am? I suppose I could take time to do the reciprocal of every video you link. Granted, I do not look for posts that make the right look like fools. I even cut short most that do the same to your side, but there are some I really enjoy. I can see through the purpose though, the agenda. You guys are hook line and sinker'd. You are so in the tank! If you were fish, I'd toss you guys back in the pond hoping the hook will work itself out as it's in too deep to bother. I often wonder how Trevor Noah got to where he is, then, when I think about it, it should be no surprise.

Ok Tom, so a little out of date. But I did really like that one. And the only reason to dig from the archives is that it is equally as ludicrous as one example I attempted to rebut earlier in this thread. It only hit me as a simile, is that the right word? well, the most obvious for me at this point. Nothing more that that. I understand. I need to keep up on current events. There are plenty aren't there. Thank You for your response.

Remember when car/airplane model glue was lemon scented. I had no desire to push it,I did like the scent but no... It was what is was, it was glue. Now I understand there are theories about. like menthol cigs target Blacks. Hell, I like menthol cigs on occasion. I call BS but I'm just an ordinary dumb ass. Menthol cigs are being regulated in the old beautiful twin cities. You don't have to drive far to find alternative sources. There are of course business owners taking a hit from rules that change within a 100 yards or less from less regulated areas.I think even us crackers (old meaning not a crack addict) like a menthol once in a while. Speaking for myself, it is refreshing, kind of like breathing in a pine tree in the cities. The smell of sage so refreshing as the smell of sage after a thunderstorm in Mt, no better. I'd like a sage cigarette, but then, if crackers became addicted to them, we may lose the rights to purchase. You roll your own so no big deal. I prefer to just buy at a convenience store and be on my way.

I may have resigned too early. I understand Humor, Jokes & Games. Unfortunately, we've gone beyond that, I am at fault, the original post was under Humor, Jokes & Games. I dont care much for humor, jokes & games (not so true, I think of this as a game). Humor is not what it once was, Jokes are fine as long as you know your audience, farming game or Risk, which I usually win, and as my wife of several decades throws it in my face, your such as asshole. No quotes as she says it in a more loving way. I love her too, till the end of, the end of, well, we'll see how the next game ends. DJ

Mitch is almost, well, his ability to speak seems as senile as Biden. I'd really like to give him speech lessons. Let's get that peach pit out of your mouth. He's got ties to China, any moron would know that, his wife is right in there. But if this was a game, with no bias, you poor folks would be at a loss. And you may learn, you push too hard. Relax, take a big breath and cross your legs. You may have a chance.

You know, before I take a hard stance on this, I'd like to know what it really is, critical race. I'd rather go through the gauntlet before my kids or grand kids. The three R's and the one H are so important. History teachings should not whitewash our past. It should point the wrongs as well as rights. Unfortunately just about everyone gets there opportunity to be on the wrong side of history, Blacks, white indentured servants, the Irish had their problems, the Chinese, the Italians, the Jews, layoffs from a company you dedicated your life too, take your pick. Every day there is a winner as well as a loser. As we all know, the winner gets to document it with most "credibility" you understand the quotes. The loser can often get in there a bit later with their own take on it. Yea, lot's of wrongs in our past, and those voices should be heard. To take a nation with one the best economies, standard of living, most likely the victim of industrial espionage (because we can figure out how to do poop), some things were done right. Lets give credit to those who honestly contributed to good. Some did much good but employed slaves , culture does change and what was once accepted is of course not now. To erase names of those who contributed so much to this country because of what was accepted at the time, well, that's a tough one. Some were brutal, some were kind. Of course no excuse these days. Some victims are much better at moving along than others. I see a lot of people being treated as less than, let's not expect so much as they or their predecessors have been wronged. You see this almost entirely in the biggest cities. It would be really nice to see everyone treated the same and expect the same of them in the general, productive (or semi productive)(That's a funny because I'm not productive at this moment). I don't fix anything while typing. We always change or should, and I respect your cause to a certain extent. I will not, with my whole heart, agree with your methods to promote that change.

I cannot help myself, this desire to debate. I wish I had it when I was younger. Sometimes you have to get older before you believe in your belief's. There is hope out there for the silent majority. You have your rights! First amendment is a place to start. But please don't stop there. There is the first 10 amendments, the Bill of Rights. Then there are many other amendments that proceed. Educate yourself. Old poop that seem irrelevant does indeed become relevant at your choosing. If your choose to not care, well, best luck to you. Luck will get your place in a Casino once in a while.

Fair Elections should be a "no brainier" Mr. Antram, this is your chance, make it fair and with no disputes. That's a, big load, but you are brilliant, and I have confidence that you could not only do the software but promote a means of making us all feel, like well, we are all the same. I'm sorry that's too much. I figure you though as someone that has the solution but not the means to implement. But let's set the bar. Don't go nuts about it, but damn, somebody should. Issue voter ID's, you don't need to drive, just an Id, you should have a SSN which the government does provide. The ones that stand in line for hours, that's not right.I understand things are different from southern Mn. The one reason I like a voting holiday. I stand in line 5 minutes at best to vote but I realize others stand for hours. Not Right.

In the 2018 midterm election, 74% of Montanans voted absentee. Not a peep about widespread mail-in voter fraud.

Flash forward to 2020. The Orange Dotard starts making up lies about widespread voter fraud months before the election, the state-run propaganda machine (Fox News) starts parroting Dishonest Don the Angry Con, and the 2021 Montana Republican-controlled legislature passes voting restriction regulations for a problem that doesn't exist, as failure of dozens of lawsuits and the results of state investigations (many of which have been led by Republican legistalures) have determined.

Anyone who honestly still believes that there was widespread fraud in 2020 is a blithering idiot. The only people saying that still, are those Republicans in power and those trying to regain power (exhibit 1: Ex-President Tiny Hands).

And for your idea of a National Voter ID, give me a break. Don't you know the federal government will just use that national ID to track us down and take our guns away?

Once again, you are totally missing the point. There is no issue. It is something made up by Trump and his cast of thieves in states where they lost.

Let's try to spoon feed it to you. There is no issue concerning ballot counting anywhere in the United States of America. The issue is lying by the Republican party under Trump, the propaganda program Fox News, and idiots who listen to them.

Continuing with the humor, OK, yep, that's what this should be. And you do certainly have your own style. There's nothing more true in any descent mans mind than to dream as Martin Luther King Jr did, that his children would live in a nation where they would be judged not by the color of their skin but the content of their character. Quoted often and rightfully so, it's beautiful. Booker T. Washington, another brilliant person often quoted and rightfully so. I'm growing weary of this humor thread. I know I took it off the rails, my bad. I think I will retire my involvement and recoup for another day. Does that make you the Winner? Oh just one question, changing the subject, wouldn't it be nice if all 50 states had the same voting requirements. Maybe sneak a nationwide uniform voting system (one that uses a #2 pencil)into that Trillion Buck infrastructure bill. Yep, bubble gum and unicorns, that's my two favorites. Signing off for now. B'Bye

I agree with you. But you are talking about the federal government taking over all elections in the country. The Constitution says almost nothing about how the states should run their elections. This would probably take a Constitutional Convention and another Amendment. And we should also include some voter protections, but we all know that the GOP hates protecting voting rights.
