"Reasonable People"

Dominion Voting Systems has filed a defamation lawsuit for $1.3 billion against former Trump lawyer Synde Powell. She was one of the most vocal Trump supporters making the ridiculous claims of voter fraud and rigged voting machines during the election, helping instigate the deadly insurrection by Trump's domestic terrorists on January 6th.

She is now arguing that the lawsuit should be dismissed because "no reasonable person" should take anything she said as fact. That is her defense in a court of law, that reasonable people should not have believed her lies and conspiracy theories. It's a sound defense. But then you have to wonder about all the Trump supporters who believe the election was stolen. Are they not "reasonable people"?

That is exactly how I took it. The way I understand what is being said is that if you are easily convinced of a lie than it is not the liars fault, instead it is your fault. If you are unable of simple reasoning and doing even surface level research then you are not a reasonable person.

If I was a Trump supporter I would be angry at this explicit derogatory stance. Of course, I probably would be too unreasonable to understand that I was being called an imbecile.

Full disclosure I vote primarily Republican and consider myself to be conservative.

I don't think the average tRump supporter would understand this complex reasoning. And if they did, they would try to avoid accepting it.

I remember Republicans. Lots of good ones. I feel sorry for them as their party has been corrupted by the fascists. I hope some day the old Republican party comes back. The one Bob Brown and George Will once belonged to. (Okay, George is a bit of a d*ck but at least he has functioning brain cells.)

I was raised Republican and voted Republican when I was old enough. I didn't always agree with their policies and as fairly faithful Democrat, I don't necessarily go along blindly with all Democratic ideas. I can not and will not follow any one person blindly just because of a D or R in front of their name. At a time in my life, I voted a split ticket and I still would if the Republican party wasn't so anti progress. I don't believe in communism or Authoriatism. I also don't believe in Socialism as the Republicans like to accuse the Democratic party. What I understand is that if the Republicans don't want anything to do with Socialism, they need to quit using any public service such as fresh clean water, police, fire, public schools and our public streets and highways. Oh, and please return your stimulus check and make sure you pay for your vaccine and the cost of administering it.

"Foxitis". Lawyers are using the fact that Fox News is so filled with lies and false information, that it is being used to defend the actions of Trump's domestic terrorists who stormed the Capitol on January 6th. They just watched too much Fox New, your honor. They didn't know what they were doing. Unbelievable. Not reasonable people.

Antifa infiltrated the event,

These Trump fans say, and they may soon
implore us

To recognize that guy whose Viking garb

Was plainly a disguise. Was that George
Soros?
