Is this a good year for ice jams?

With the very cold temperatures in mid-late January (coldest below zero weather stretch in around 40 years), one would think the ice on the rivers would be thicker and thicker ice means more probability of ice jams, I wonder if this might be a good year or bad year for ice jams. The bombing of the ice jams took place on March 21 of 1944 and I don't think the ice on the Yellowstone and other rivers has gone out yet. With the coming week of 50 to 60 degree temps, are we due for troublesome ice jams?

A friend of mine drove from Miles City to Forsyth yesterday morning and reported multiple ice jams on the Yellowstone.

The ice on the Yellowstone hasn't gotten very thick at all this winter so ice is probably not going to be a huge problem this year. At least, that's the way it looks around here.
