Opinion of Golden calf at CPAC
Posted by nativemc (+913) 2 years ago
I just want to know how the evangelicals feel about the Golden Calf at CPAC.There are at least 100 verses in the Bible that address worshiping a false God. I hope people see the relationship here. Haven't Christians been warned about this for over 2000 years?

It's fascinating how that you're still after Trump who lost the election and your still afraid of him. I take it that you're not happy with Joe. Because I don't see you people saying nothing about him. Or what he said he did Trump all ready did it.

Finally, one of tRumps brain dead followers admits he lost. Jerry doesn't see the irony though of the Golden Calf in the Bible vs. the Golden statue at CPAC in relation to the Evangelicals and tRump that so heavily rely on their religion to support the politics of the Republican party. As for leaving tRump alone, in four years he never got over Hillary or Obama, nor did his followers. As for Biden, please enlighten us all as to what he is taking credit for that tRump did and please don't mention the Covid vaccine. Biden is not taking credit for that but he is buying more and is developing a plan for distribution.

Jerry, Donald Trump orchestrated an attack on the United States Congress and American democracy on January 6, 2021, and that is something I will never forget.

The one thing that CPAC has proven without a doubt is that the Republican Party is now officially a cult. A cult that worships Donald Trump, and continues to believe all the lies and conspiracy theories he has spewed over his entire presidency, culminating in a violent insurrection against the very foundations of our democratic republic.

“The people at CPAC are living in an alternate reality in which facts don’t matter, the Constitution doesn’t matter. They have no principle except whatever their leader says.”

It has been interesting watching the civil war inside the GOP. On one side, you have the more traditional Republicans, also known by radicalized Trumpers as "RINOS". These Republicans seem to still have a grasp of reality. They believe the fact that Joe Biden did indeed win the election, and voted to convict Trump during his second impeachment trial for inciting the insurrection on January 6th. While I may disagree with these traditional republicans on a number of issues, they seem to understand the Constitution and our system of government. Unfortunately, these traditional Republicans comprise maybe about 25% of the Republican party.

Then you have Trump supporters. A mix of Qanon, white nationalists, gun nuts, militia, and any number of quasi-fascist organizations. These are the people that Trump said he loved, that stormed the Capitol, carried a confederate flag through the capitol building, calling for the hanging of the vice president, and tried to prevent the counting of the electoral votes and the peaceful transfer of power to the next President. The only difference between these people and al Qaeda is the religious book they read and the person they follow.

And unfortunately, many Trump supporters are generally good people who have been gaslighted by Trump's lies, and conservative media who play on their fears of evil democrats taking their guns, making them eat synthetic meat, drive electric vehicles, hoards of illegals at the border, transgender people in bathrooms, abortions, getting vaccinated, wearing a mask, healthcare for everyone, etc, etc, and on and on.

I hope traditional republicans win, but it's not looking good based on CPAC.

I foresee two parties. The Sane but Selfish Republican Party and the American Fascist tRump Cult. I can also see them suing each other over the word "Republican."

So much for "made in the USA". It must be made of "fools" gold" because that is the only type of people who could follow him.
When I first saw it, I did not think of the golden calf. Instead, my first impression was that it was a rendition of Jabba the Trump.

Jerry, to answer your question, no they did not clear him, tRump, of instigating the insurgents. I had not heard anything about Biden giving Iran billions since taking office. Please direct us all to that story. As for the capital police, they were there under tRumps watch not Biden. I am not sure where you get you information but I think you need to do a little research before you continue to spout your dribble for all to see.

It was on the radio news that the capital police and the F B I didn't respond even when they where told . And Joe was V.P when. Obama was in charge on giving money to Iran. Or did you forget that. I'm sure in around about way Joe helped support terrorism. That explains getting back in the Iranian nuclear program. As for now he put thousands out of work in the oil industry. Sounds like he's supposed Iran on there pipeline. There's something you can do some looking in too. Didn't he promised to open schools as so as he was elected. What are we up in the numbers of his lies. That too you could look up also. It should be easy. When is lips are moving then he's lying..

I still think Terry Hanson's advice of ignoring illiterate morons is sound.

The lack of intelligent conservative voices to dispute normal discussion is pretty amazing, in my opinion. Truly they are the party of Trump.

It is weird that I have become a Liz Cheney fan.

Gunnar, I guess I will agree with you at this point and tap out. I am getting tired of arguing with conspiracy theories and misinformation. I have always been open to listening to a reasonable argument but there is no reasonable argument coming from the tRump cult.

Since Jerry is quite obviously a heathen and has rejected Christianity to join the lawless pagans who now control the Republican party, maybe he could use some old time religion from the Right Reverend Sir Michael Jagger?

Completely agree. Trying to refute the constant stream of bull excrement in Jerry's posts would be a nearly full time job. You just can't reason with the people in the video below. Jerry's people.
