Gotta keep up the good fight for my man Todd Rundgren. In years past Oddjob (whatever happened to him, anyway?) and I made the case for Tobb by posting two of his many great songs, Bang the Drum All Day and Is it My Name, respectively, To further his case, let's go with Couldn't I Just Tell You.

Let's hear an Iron Maiden song as good as that.

Tina Turner should have been inducted decades ago. Hope she makes the cut this year.

Hal, she was inducted with Ike in 1991, so I don't feel too sorry for her. Tina does rock.

But, so did Ike:

No one fights Foo like the Foo Fighters.

Let's hear an Iron Maiden song as good as that.

I feel personally attacked here, but fine...

And the Powerslave album is one amazing song after another, but I think this one deserves a lot more love than it gets:

I could go on, but the REAL travesty here is that Bad Religion hasn't even been nominated.

I'm still around Gunnar. I stalk the site from time to time, but I have no interest to engage anywhere anymore, since the only form of public discourse allowed these days, is the rage and hate from the lunatic fringe. I'm still a Todd Rundgren for the RRHOF fan, but I've got a lot of miles on my old carcass, so I tend to be a bit more reflective now, since I have way more past than future. The screaming guitar music only seems to happen once in a blue moon when I'm on long road trips alone, or I've had a few beers and have actually made it past 2100 hours.

Well let's see. Todd Rundgren, Carole King, Tina Turner are long past due.

The Foo Fighters are due.

Devo - does anybody really care about those goofballs?

Kate Bush - deserving probably, but maybe a little too far afield to get enough votes.

Go-Go's -- I get that they were groundbraking but in reality they were pretty much a flash in the pan. Their fist album was a smash and then it was downhill from there.

New York Dolls - I suppose they could get in on their shock value, but they never had any hits so I don't know how many votes they'll get.

Rage Against the Machine - I don't know much about them but I know they've been around and paid their dues. They've definitely got cred.

LL Cool J, Jay Z -- they're rappers, and while I get their massive contribution to record sales, they're not exactly rock'n'roll. I realize there are already other rappers in the hall though, so why not, I guess.

Dionne Warwick - she's definitely good, but is she rock'n'roll? I guess if rappers can be in, then MOR crooners can be too. Plus she sang Bacharach's songs, so she could get in just on that.

Chaka Khan and Iron Maiden are probably deserving just due to longevity.

I have never heard of Fela Kuti. But then I'm getting old, so....
