I thought the denizens of milescity.com may be interested in this info. If you enter 59301 in the zip code field on the following link, you will get a report showing all Miles City recipients of PPP loans.

https://www.federalpay.or...on-program

As you may know, these loans generally do not have to be repaid.

BOB L... LONG TIME, NO POST!

It would have been more efficient to report who DIDN'T get a PPP loan.

Only one I can think of is Bobby Boatly Enterprises.

I was surprised at how many there were on the list. The Fulkerson Funeral Home also puzzled me. But most of the rest I have heard of. Still, mostly good Republicans.

Couple of things:

If you work for a company who received a PPP loan, the company received cash equal to 2 1/2 months of your salary AND benefits. How much did they pass on to you?

If the owner of a company receiving PPP loans grouses about stimulus checks, politely tell them to pound sand.

I would assume Funeral homes did not take a hit during these hard times but rather staying steady or possibly even profiting more! As Paula Cole would say, Where have all the cowboys gone?

I will say there are a number of business in there that I would never have guessed were run by communists, given their owner's public Facebook feeds.

Looking at the list of payouts for 59351, I better see a big red hammer and sickle at the next PBR finals...

Interesting observation, I know that you like people to provide facts. Would you be so kind as to go down the list and tell us all which ones are Republican? Not sure if anyone could say Oftedal’s is, they’re employee owned. I’m also kind of puzzled by the party claim, since the actual need for the PPP in Montana wasn’t really necessary until the Democrat Governor shut the state down.
If by chance your claim is factual, perhaps that’s due to Republicans being the only ones trying to work?

Phil's critical thinking skills are a little lacking. In a county that gave 72% of its vote to Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, he needs "proof" that some of the Miles City business owners accepting federal Covid relief welfare "loans" are Republican. I guess it seems impossible to believe that any Republican would sink so low.

If you really want to look, you can check this website to find out who some of your neighbors are donating to: https://www.opensecrets.o...p/advanced

Check your list, not as many people donated money to who you think as recent as you think.

There are over 250 businesses on the list. I have better things to do with my time than try to prove they are all Democrats. Have at it, Phil.

Thanks for the illuminating post.

As the only admitted, democratic socialist poster on MC dot calm I would like to say, What a load of schite. That list is painful to read.

Just because the people of Custer County voted for Trump doesn't mean they are all Republicans, it just means that they wanted someone capable of running the country unlike the person who was elected.

Would the US Farm Bill be considered democratic socialism? Honest question, looking for intelligent responses, not snarky ones.

Per the USDA, government payments made up 40% of 2020 ag revenues.

atomicg-

Another good question would be to ask why so many politicians use the word socialism as a pejorative.
