If anyone is interested in an exquisite bird show, I suggest that you show up at the corner of 5th and Main Street between 4:30 and about 4:50 P.M. There you will be treated to a Starling murmuration of thousands of birds flying in unison from the park, forming clouds of swooping birds, just before they retire for the night.

The murmuration is as good as ever. Now, as of February 2, it is from 5 to 5:00 to 5:15 P.M.

Many years ago (probably around 2004 or 2005), they used to start from the vicinity of the VA and they would fly over my house. My little dog was quite fond of watching the show (we'd stand on the boulevard). More recently (around 2015), there was a regular murmuration in the Valley where I had Jobie. We, of course, enjoyed the show together.

I wonder why the location changes--if they are even the same flock (or descendants, thereof).
