I did see that when I checked the numbers a day or 2 ago. Sorry to hear. Wish I could find out who they were - I'm concerned if they were anyone I knew?
Meanwhile I saw that some nearby counties such as Powder River, Fallon and Wibaux got hit with their first cases in the last couple of weeks, though the ones reported in Powder River and Wibaux have now recovered. Carter and Prairie Counties haven't had any reported cases, thank goodness.

So sad. I hope people wake up about the reality. I have noticed an increase is mask wearing, although not 100%.

If I could be 100% sure not wearing a mask would result in catching a fatal dose of covid without harming anyone else, I'd burn the mask off of my face. Unfortunately, life doesn't work that way. The current state of the world just totally sucks.
This will pass, Richard. Hang in there!

It was Don Muri and his mother. This information was in their obits, so I don't think I'm trafficking in rumors.
The most shocking thing about this, for me, was the open funeral followed by a graveside service AND A LUNCHEON.

Out of respect for the family, a public forum is not a place to discuss your opinions about what happened to them. If you know them then you would know the details, if you didn't know them you don't need to know the details. Please leave them alone to grieve in peace, they have gone through enough already. It is sad this has happened but remember it could happen to any one of us at any time.

mkph, with all due respect I disagree with you. If immediate family/next of kin had not yet been notified, I could see the complaint, but in this case, the obituaries are already posted at Stevenson & Sons and other public websites. Also, being that we are in a pandemic I think people are naturally going to be curious about who dies from it. As I said earlier, I was concerned about whether it was somebody I know, so I wanted to know who it was for that reason (provided those closest to the deceased have been notified first).
That being said, I do question whether Jean Muri's cause of death was Covid 19? Bridgier, are you sure about that? Her obituary at Stevenson & Sons says she was surrounded by family when she passed. If it's Covid they usually die in isolation due to concerns about spread of the virus.

I see you're right, Jean's obit does NOT list covid as a cause of death, so perhaps I'm wrong in her case - Don's does however.

Their deaths were on the 26th and 27th as were the reported deaths due to covid in Miles City. Their's are the only obits listed on the Stevenson's site for deaths on those two dates.

Correct.
