Bob Kisken took a back road from Miles City, Montana, to Fort Peck, Montana, where he encountered these phone booths out in the middle of nowhere and not much else.

"I took a backroad from MC to FT Peck. It was all dirt and lonely. The only thing I saw was a ups truck, some sheep, a couple of cars and these 2 telephone booths. What I wonder is if they are still out there and in working order?"

A couple more photos from Bob Kisken:

Here is a little bit about photographer Bob Kisken.

Bob currently resides in Denver, Colorado.

Some of Bob's photos were recently on display at the Judson H. Flower, Jr. Library at Miles Community College.

A 2013 story about Bob from the Casper Star-Tribune newspaper:

Casper Star-Tribune: Glenrock man's rodeo clown photos make rodeo hall of fame

Bob has said he was most proud of a collection of his photos that were displayed in a museum in Finland. A collection of those photos can be found on the Museot Finna website: Museot Finna: Bob Kisken Photography

I think the picture of the phone booth was taken at the Nelson Creek access to Fort Peck reservoir on Mt24. If it is that phone booth it is gone now.
