First Baptist Church sketch artist?

Another of my finds was a large stash of blank note cards done for the First Baptist Church's 100th anniversary in 1982. I'm not positive, but I think the artist may have been Syd Sonneborn in 1981. The signature isn't overly clear on the cards (or maybe I just have "old eyes"). Any ideas? Thanks!

Very nice. Thanks for posting this, Karen.

My eyes (aided by my computer) think the signature might say:

Syd Sonneborn '81

Yep, that's Syd's signature, alright. I think it's also possible that this note card was printed at Tri-C Printing. That's the print shop my father and Syd co-owned back in the 80's and 90's.

You're welcome and thanks for the confirmation! I remember when it took place (by that time, I wasn't living here); however, my memory about a lot of it is a bit sketchy now. I suspect I've aged a bit in the interim.

Thanks, Shu! The cards don't say where they were printed at. It is certainly a beautiful print job though!

Syd did a great job with the sketch. That takes up an entire block. Something of that scale is even harder to sketch.
