Miles City will be well represented December 5-14 in Las Vegas, NV at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Haven Meged is coming in guns a blazing in the number 2 spot in the tie-down roping. Haven, wearing back #17, is only ~$12,000 behind Caleb Smidt of Texas in the standings with lots of money yet to be won. Haven has been roping extremely well all year and even won the Eastern Montana Fair Pro Rodeo in August!! If you'd like to follow Haven's run at history the finals will air on CBS Sports at 8PM MST every night and standings will be updated throughout the week at prorodeo.com.

Good Luck Haven!!

The NFR kicked off with round 1 last night. Haven left the chute at the Thomas and Mack like he'd done it a hundred times. Clocking a run at 8.30 seconds Haven placed 3rd in the round. With last nights finish and the money won in that round Haven has moved to the #1 spot in the world standings!!! He now leads Caleb Smidt by ~$4,000. Round 2 tonight at 8PM.

Keep at em Haven!

After 4 rounds at the Thomas and Mack center at UNLV, Haven is sitting #2 in the world, after being edged out by Louisiana's Shane Hanchey. Haven is #3 in the average, placing top 5 in 3 of the 4 rounds. He has been roping very well all week and making really smart moves. He and his horse "Beyoncé" are looking strong and catching a rhythm under the lights of Vegas.

We continue to wish you luck Haven! You're making us proud!!

I thought Meged might be the only World Champion from Miles City besides Loyd Ketchum, who won the world bullfighting championship in 1991,when it was still an annual competition.Come to find out there was a cowboy from Miles City name of Jack Kerschner who was the 1936 PRCA Steer Wrestling Champion.
Anyway,congrads to Meged!
