Sigh. J. Geils Band didn't even make the list this year. That is pathetic.

Guess I would go with Todd Rundgren. Lots of names on that list would be better off in the Pop Hall of Fame.

As much as love John Prine, he ain't rock & roll.

Zombies, Def, Nicks, Cure.

This may be the worst year yet. Def Leopard feels like voting against the lesser of two evils in a political election. I'm with Gunnar on John Prine. I love him but he ain't a Rocker.

A very weak selection this year, but here's another for Rundgren

Many Moons ago, KLOS FM 95.5 in L.A. used to play this at 3:30 every Friday afternoon to kick off the weekend. Every radio on the mine site had it turned up full blast.

The weekend was on....

I must admit, I completely forgot about that song until you posted it. Not sure if I'm willing to offer if it was good or not.

Def Leppard
Stevie Nicks
John Prine
The Cure
Janet Jackson

Stevie Nicks and Def Leppard will definitely get in. Janet Jackson will get in because she is Michaels sister. John Prine while a folk/protest singer should get in. Some (Gunnar,Tucker )say he is not rock n roll....then why is Bob Dylan in? How about country artists....Johnny Cash is in! What about Willie Nelson. I agree where is J.Geils Band and I could go on and on with others. Recently have been listening to some 70s rocks....Grand Funk, BJ Thomas,Rare Earth, Warren Zevon....countless others.

That is a pretty weak list this year considering all the great bands/artists that aren't in the Hall.

If you are a Sirius XM subscriber, listen to Howard Stern's interviews with Steve Miller and Cheap Trick, and you will learn a lot about the HOF and the process involved with getting nominated and/or elected and the TV show and so on. It's a very political, and sometimes kind of nasty, process.

Now that Cheap Trick finally got their long-overdue HOF installation in 2016, my new personal pet peeve of a great band that's not in, is The Doobie Brothers. Not many acts have had the longevity they've had (with their two original lead singers still intact); or have gone through the stylistic changes they did over the years and still kept their audience. They've covered multiple genres (hard rock, pop rock, R&B, even country) and they're still releasing good new material and gettin' it done in concert on a regular basis today.

I mean, Kraftwerk??! Gimme a break.
