Sexual harassment and assault -- systemic and pervasive!

Start by believing the victims!

U.S. Senators back in 1991 did not believe law professor, Anita Hill's allegations of sexual harassment, and they approved Clarence Thomas' nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court; now in 2018, we will see if U.S. senators believe this professor of clinical psychology and her allegations of sexual assault by Brett Kavanaugh!

Additionally, lest we forget, there are 19 women who have accused President Trump of sexual assault! And, Trump himself is on video admitting to sexual assault and laughing and joking about it with Billy Bush!

Furthermore, it appears that there may be strange circumstances about Kavanaugh's finances:

Oh boy -- it is apparently going to be business as usual -- start by attacking the victim! I don't think Trump and his Republican cohorts realize that "the times, they are a changing!"

Start by believing!

Now seriously MCD, don't you find it odd, a sitting judge for many years and none of high school rumors don't come up. Then when it's a selection for the supreme court and she brings it out with not one piece of proof. The liberals are exploding heads "He is a pervert.
Let's just face the fact screaming foul all these years later is more dirty politics than sexual misconduct.
And yes, should it prove to be a fake scandal, she must serve jail time. Oh yes you'll scream of my own misconduct.. .
What I can contribute is, I personally know investigators, attourneys and judges that can confirm it is not unusually rare than many times the accusation is false.

I really do wish that someday you'll have the opportunity to experience a little bit of the immiseration you so gleefully wish on others. I know that makes me a little bit of a bad person, but I'll get by.

In Judge Kavanaugh's own words: "Fortunately, we had a good saying that we've held firm to to this day, as the dean was reminding me before the talk, which is, 'What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep.' That's been a good thing for all of us, I think."

"What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep" sounds like a great motto to keep sexual assaults and rape covered up at a Catholic boys school for grades 9-12!

In addition to the allegation against Judge Kavanaugh, I'm also wondering how many boys at Georgetown Prep were sexually assaulted by members of the Catholic clergy who taught there through the years -- the school was founded in 1789?

Now that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, (the woman who accused Judge Kavanaugh of sexual assault, and Senators Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Susan Collins (R-ME) and some staff members are all getting threats of bodily and physical harm, things are getting particularly vicious in the Kavanaugh nomination vetting process.

I haven't read of any male senators (or their staff) who have expressed doubts about Kavanaugh receiving threats of bodily and physical harm.

https://www.usatoday.com/...355798002/

So, now it is time to read about violence against women.

"The UN Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women states, 'violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women' and 'violence against women is one of the crucial social mechanisms by which women are forced into a subordinate position compared with men.'

Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the United Nations, declared in a 2006 report posted on the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) website:

Violence against women and girls is a problem of pandemic proportions. At least one out of every three women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime with the abuser usually someone known to her.

Violence against women can fit into several broad categories. These include violence carried out by 'individuals' as well as 'states'. Some of the forms of violence perpetrated by individuals are: rape, domestic violence, sexual harassment, reproductive coercion, female infanticide, prenatal sex selection, obstetric violence, and mob violence; as well as harmful customary or traditional practices such as honor killings, dowry violence, female genital mutilation, marriage by abduction and forced marriage. Some forms of violence are perpetrated or condoned by the state such as war rape; sexual violence and sexual slavery during conflict; forced sterilization; forced abortion; violence by the police and authoritative personnel; stoning and flogging. Many forms of VAW, such as trafficking in women and forced prostitution are often perpetrated by organized criminal networks.

The World Health Organization (WHO), in its research on VAW, has analyzed and categorized the different forms of VAW occurring through all stages of life from before birth to old age." (Emphasis added.)

Ed Who Fishes inquires above: "Where were you MCD, when Billy Clinton was sexually assaulting all those women?"

Answer: Getting on with my life and dealing with the psychological aftermath of being sexually assaulted at knife point by a stranger. The medical term is called post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Please refer to today's Billings Gazette

https://billingsgazette.c...5ffe6.html

Given the numerous and diabolical sexual assaults on many teenage boys on the Miles City football team back in the years Jim Jensen was the athletic trainer, Miles City is getting an "up close and personal" lesson on why victims don't come forward to report sexual assault for years. It doesn't matter if you are a boy or a girl, man or woman!

So, Trump questioning Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's credibility and contending that if the alleged attack "was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed," and asking "Why didn't someone call the FBI 36 years ago?" seems particularly ridiculous here in Miles City today, September 22, 2018 after the numerous stories in the Billings Gazette about what happened to many high school football players here in Miles City 20-30 years ago.

Trump, the same man who has been accused by 19 women of sexual assault and has admitted to it on the Access Hollywood video seems to have no clue about the trauma caused by sexual assault. Again, I ask: Why is the FBI not investigating these numerous and credible claims of sexual assault by Trump?

For Ed Who Fishes, I would recommend he do some research on the trauma informed investigation and the effects of trauma.

The point is, is it the trauma that forces certain victims to focus only on certain individuals or ideologies?

Or is it politics?

If you want to be believed, you might stand a better chance if you separate the two.

Keith Ellison, anyone? Documented...police reports...videos.

Christ, the hypocrisy is so thick you can taste it.

The news about Judge Kavanaugh is getting worse. Much worse! Shockingly worse! Here's the latest:

Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels' lawyer, says he has some new explosive information.

"The attorney began to post emails between himself and Mike Davis, the chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee, in which Avenatti claimed that he has 'significant evidence' of parties in Washington, DC, during the 1980s during which Kavanaugh, Judge, and others would 'participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.”

"What Does Michael Avenatti Have on Brett Kavanaugh? What we know so far. Avenatti claims to have more information on Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge" by Emily Stewart, vox.com, September 24, 2018

https://www.vox.com/polic...s-triangle

Please remember that in terms of professional ethics, judges are held to a higher standard which involves the avoidance of any sense of impropriety. I think this applies even more to Supreme Court judges -- and also any nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court.

Remember that Trump's other nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch, (who was confirmed) graduated from Georgetown Prep in 1985 and there were no allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

With regard to Brett Kavanaugh, so far there are three women who have alleged sexual misconduct by Judge Kavanaugh. They are: Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez and now a third woman represented by attorney, Michael Avenatti, whose identity will be revealed in the next 48 hours:

The following has to be the most daft quote I've read yet from a U.S. Senator in the Kavanaugh nomination process:

"Lindsey Graham: If Swetnick were a ‘true victim,’ she wouldn't have hired lawyer Michael Avenatti."

WHAT? Does Senator Graham sound like an old, white guy who just doesn't get it or what? By the way, 27 years later, I still believe Professor Anita Hill and her allegations against Clarence Thomas.

The sexual assault of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford by Brett Kavanaugh occurred in the summer of 1982 when she was 15 and he was 17.

Michael Avenatti, who represents the third Kavanaugh accuser, Julie Swetnick, told Lawrence [O'Donnell] last night [September 26, 2018] new details about what Swetnick is accusing Kavanaugh of having done in the 1980s. Avenatti also responds to attacks from Trump

I particularly like the part near the end of the interview when Avenatti responded to Trump calling him a "con artist", "total low-life" and "third-rate lawyer".

Avenatti responded to to Trump's about him by saying:

"Well, Lawrence, I want to make sure that I get this straight. I'm a low-life and I'm a third rate lawyer? And, meanwhile the hand-picked lawyer for Donald Trump for 10 to 12 years, Michael Cohen, just plead guilty to multiple felonies, including at least two of which involve direct conduct by the President of the United States. And, I'm a low-life and a third rate lawyer? Well, Lawrence, if this third-rate lawyer has been able to accomplish what he's been able to accomplish over the last 6 to 7 months, imagine if I was a first-rate lawyer!...

I noticed earlier tonight, in fact, Don [Trump], Jr., got in the mix by calling me a porn star lawyer, Evidently, he forgot that his father was the one that had unprotected sex with my "porn star" client while his step-brother was 4 months old at home with his step-mom."

Anonymous accusers ....great reliability there..... MCD you are one of those people who based their guilt or innocence conclusion based SOLELY on if the person is a liberal or a conservative...... keeping a conservative off the Supreme Court apparently justifies any tactics in your eyes..... the democrats on the Senate Committee's sole job is to delay the confirmation vote until after the mid-terms.... getting the truth out is not their concern. That is why they won't let the FBI investigation issue go.... he has been investigated by the FBI - six times over. But the delay of yet another investigation is what they need to push it past the mid-terms..... the American people are smart enough to see that and to see that the Democrats have no qualms about destroying an innocent man and his family as collateral damage in the process. You are playing a party to that in your posts. That is what you do. The accuser in this may have been a victim but by someone else... all the alleged witnesses don't corroborate her version of what happened.... have your beliefs but at least be fair, your forgone bias is coming through all too clearly.

To Ed Who Fishes and his post above: Because I have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, I believed law professor Anita Hill's allegations of sexual harassment against Clarence Thomas back in 1991; I believed Dr. Christine Blasey Ford today when she testified that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her and covered her mouth with his hand back when they were teenagers in 1982. I also believe that Judge Kavanaugh (and his friend, Mark Judge) may not remember the incident because they were very drunk at the time it occurred -- and they were not the one sexually assaulted. I believe Dr. Ford because I know what it is like to be sexually assaulted -- in my case, at knife point by a stranger, when I was 24 years old. I know what it feels like when you think you might "accidentally" die when a hunting knife is wrapped around your throat and it might slip if you (or he) make a wrong move. Trust me, it is an experience one doesn't forget.

I have worked as a substitute teacher at Pine Hills Youth Correctional Facility here in Miles City, and have taught teenage sex offenders there. One can be a sex offender at any age -- drunk or not drunk.

I also believe the 19 women who have accused President Trump of sexual assault and I believe Trump's own braggadocious admission of it when he was with Billy Bush on the bus. I consider Trump a serial sexual predator and do not understand why he is not being investigated for numerous sexual assaults by the FBI. I also believe the 60 women who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault before his recently being convicted of sexually assaulting one of his many accusers.

That said, I also believe that Judge Kavanaugh will be confirmed by the majority of the white male Republicans in the U.S. Senate, and I believe Judge Kavanaugh will soon take his place, along with Clarence Thomas, on the United States Supreme Court where they both will be making legal decisions that will affect every American's life. I don't believe much has changed in the 27 years since Professor Hill provided details of her sexual harassment by Clarence Thomas to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

I also believe if Judge Brett Kavanaugh were being interviewed for a job as a pilot for any major U.S. airline, he would not be hired, because of his episodic problems with alcohol, which he tried to minimize today in the hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Nobody here is even suggesting that harassment doesn't occur, nobody here is suggesting that sexual assaults do not occur.... the victims of those events deserve empathy, justice and a voice..... but because victims of those events exist, it doesn't automatically mean that everyone who is accused of those acts is guilty of them. Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do ? If a person accused you of something and I was a victim of a similar unrelated act should I automatically believe the person accusing you? That is the logic you are using here. In addition to this you are posting ANYTHING you can find that is negative about Judge Kavanaugh, even if it is not related to the assault allegation which leads me to think you are just against the man, period, for any reason you can find. That is what leads me to post what I did.

After watching the entire Judge Kavanaugh Dr.Ford hearing because it is history in the making I believe that something did happen to Dr.Ford.What or where or by whom I do not know.First it was a repressed memory, and now Dr.Ford remembers. This is after she went to a psychologist or psychiatrist or both.A psychiatrist can imbed new details in a repressed memory and you will believe them-and pass a polygraph test if need be.It is interesting to note that Dr.Ford agreed she needs to see a medical professional to find out what happened to her.I think that affects her credibility as do many other parts of her testimony, but I believe something did happen to Dr.Ford and she believes her testimony. In Dr.Ford`s mind she is telling the truth when it seems only a small or no part of it in actuality is verifiable.

I think it was the Washington Post whom Dr.Ford may have contacted first regarding this current/35 year old mess and WP investigated and could not verify any of her story and would not touch the story because of that fact.If liberal fake news rags will not touch her story then you have to go to your democrat senator so she can distort and exploit an unverifiable repressed memory.Senator Fiendstien does not care if Dr.Ford ends up in a mental institution over this as long as she gets what she wants.

In her testimony Dr.Ford did not know if the rag that printed her allegations had her letter that Dr.Ford gave to Senator Fiendstien.Dr.Ford had asked Senator Fiendstien for confidentiality. Then if you watch closely and listen you can see one person turn and whisper to another saying the rag had Dr.Ford`s letter.Senator Fiendstien had obviously given the rag a copy of a letter that she will not even share with the Committee. This was done without Dr.Ford`s permission.Gotta` make you proud and trust your democrat senator.

Fact is Dr.Ford was a 15 year old drinking at a house party with no adults present in a swimsuit with clothes over at least part of the swimsuit. This is according to Dr.Ford`s testimony.Dr.Ford does not know where she was how she got to the party or how she got home.A prosecutor or defense attorney in any Court would absolutely destroy her.

I was impressed by Senator Grassley,Dr.Ford and Judge Kavanaugh.

If you go to the library sometime mcd ask one of the librarians to show you where the books are located instead of the internet.Do a bit of research on bill clinton and his possible 100 or more rapes.Read about the people around bill clinton that would just suddenly get dead including State Troopers.Witness after witness dead.

Do some research on the clinton foundation and all of the good work that they do not do.Do some research on the clinton foundation and Haiti.Do some research on uranium one.Do some research on the property the clintons bought which I believe the clintons bought because the country has no extradition treaty with the US.It will make you proud to be a democrat.

Do some research on Ford Motor Company and how much damage obama, democrats and maybe Bush did to the company.Posting links to propaganda from sources that say what you want to hear and then ignore the facts is not research and it certainly is not knowledge.Look around and see what percentage of democrats drive foreign vehicles.Research the damage the democrats have done to Ford Motor Company and how democrat politicians favored foreign vehicles. It is anti-american all the way.

Research how in a foreign country obama would ride in whatever vehicle was handy.President Trump even when in a foreign country will not even ride in a vehicle that is not from an American company.Compare obama and President Trump on north korea and President Trump compared to obama on the World Stage. Review obama`s world I apologize for USA tour.

I like how the democrats after the last election were shouting "don`t give President Trump the nuclear codes"

Of course if crooked hillary would have won it would be "hurry up and give hillary the nuclear codes" from the democrats. That way hillary could immediately sell the nuclear codes to Russia and fund the Clinton Foundation.

Go ahead and call this a rant lenny lol.If you think the truth is a rant then you are a true democrat for life.Damn the facts full speed in some direction or maybe in no direction at all or maybe misdirection WAIT! we need to form a committee and give a speech.

"I have concerns that Judge Kavanaugh defended the PATRIOT Act instead of Montanans' privacy. I have concerns about his support for more dark money in politics. I have concerns about who he believes is in charge of making personal health decisions. And I have deep concerns about the allegations of sexual assault against Judge Kavanaugh. Unfortunately, Judge Kavanaugh couldn't find time to discuss these concerns with me in person, so the only information I have is from what he said in his hearings. I'll be voting against him."

Judge Kavanaugh helped the Bush Administration craft a program of mass domestic surveillance. He ruled in favor of increased government surveillance under the PATRIOT Act in Klayman v. Obama.

Tester requested a meeting with Judge Kavanaugh numerous times, but the White House refused to commit to a specific date and time.

Tester received thousands of emails and calls from Montanans about Judge Kavanaugh, a majority of which were opposed to his nomination."

See what I mean???????? The Bar did not oppose Judge Kavanaugh just one person did. The letter was signed by just one person, albiet it was the president of the ABA ONLY.It is only one person`s opinion not the backing of the ABA.This person in my opinion that really does not know what is going on and should be immediately replaced. If,mcd, you want to learn more about the rule of law, well I do not really know what you are going to do.

Do you really try very hard to get everything wrong?

Anyone can write a letter on anyone else`s letterhead or on where you work if you have access to email or a letterhead.Funny if you taught school that you would not know that.Would like to see your credentials lol.

I think you can read but comprehension is another thing.

Regarding the American Bar Association (ABA) letter. When the President of the ABA writes a letter such as this, he is representing and speaking for the entire organization. Please note the author's use of the word "we" in the letter.

"Citing “respect for the rule of law and due process under law,” the president of the American Bar Association (ABA), Robert Carlson, sent a letter to Senators Charles Grassley and Dianne Feinstein urging that a vote on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court be held “only after an appropriate background check into the allegations made by Professor Ford and others is completed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

Here is the President of the American Bar Association's letter.

"The American Bar Association urges the United States Senate Judiciary Committee (and, as appropriate, the full Senate) to conduct a confirmation vote on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States only after an appropriate background check into the allegations made by Professor Ford and others is completed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

We make this request because of the ABA’s respect for the rule of law and due process under law. The basic principles that underscore the Senate’s constitutional duty of advice and consent on federal judicial nominees require nothing less than a careful examination of the accusations and facts by the FBI.

Each appointment to our nation’s Highest Court (as with all others) is simply too important to rush to a vote. Deciding to proceed without conducting additional investigation would not only have a lasting impact on the Senate’s reputation, but it will also negatively affect the great trust necessary for the American people to have in the Supreme Court. It must remain an institution that will reliably follow the law and not politics.

Respectfully, the Senate should recognize that a thorough FBI investigation will demonstrate its commitment to a Supreme Court that is above reproach

Thank you for your consideration of this critically important matter."

Oh `cmon mcd.Who did this guy, what ABA members did he consult with? Were they named in the letter? Was there a pawprint under his signature.A picture of his antfarm that signed the letter also.I think there should be a FBI investigation.

"we" in this letter means nothing other than this guy had his ant farm or his dog in the office with him when he wrote the letter.

I would write back to robert carlson ABA and say "we" the people say you should just go away.I represent all people planetary and intergalactic and can have a letterhead printed up that shows that fact.If not I will appoint myself. Is that a "we"?

Are you saying all half a million/500,000 members of the ABA support this liberal idiot to speak for them without being consulted?

I will not explain to you what is going on.I do not think you could understand.

What are your teaching credentials mcd?

How are you coming on that Ford Motor Company and democrats trying to cripple the US auto industry research?

Regardless of any alleged youthful indiscretions, in my opinion the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings have shown that he lacks the temperament and sound judgment required to be on the United States Supreme Court. He was disrespectful and evasive under questioning. He also shows a political bias that is troubling.

Totally agree, Dave. He threw impartiality out the window, so he should not be confirmed.

I don't have anything positive to say about either party after this fiasco. I will congratulate Oddjob in that angry old white men are getting their say and are winning the battle. And I congratulate Judge Cavanaugh on his encyclopedic knowledge of beer. I have only observed a couple of slip ups on the topic, and I am a beer know it all.

Ted Cruz? Really?

You ultra rightwingers think anyone left of Genghis Khan is progressive liberal. Fact is, Hillary Clinton is a moderate. Why do you think all those people voted for Bernie?

They voted for bernie because he told a bunch of young people that he was going to give them everything for free. When you get older someone offers you something for free either you say or think, what`s the catch?Well the catch that bernie did not tell these people who voted for him is well it is free-but you have to pay it back with interest-for the rest of your life.

Don`t think Kavanaugh has the temperament to be a Judge?Seems there are monitors here who have tantrums and call people dumb@ss and such and ban people during childish tantrums.

Well what would you do if you were a respected Judge and someone with repressed memories from 36 years ago accused you of being a child molester? And a clearly morally broken senator (fiendstien) manipulates a good woman who may or may not have mental problems, with absolutely no respect or regard for the woman drags this woman on national tv to accuse you of being a child molester with absolutely no collaborating evidence?I am not a Dr, but this is clearly anti-social behavior.Would you not be a little upset?gunnar and david you do not even have the temperament that allows you to govern yourselves properly on this website. So if someone came forward and publicized that you were having sex with your daughter,or son,or neighbor`s son when they were 15 would you be happy? No evidence just publicized accusations.TV,radio,newspapers.Then you end up being called chickenhawk behind your back for the rest of your life would you be happy?Or maybe crankbait? This is just an example and I am accusing either of you.

There are victims at the hands of the democrats and I give fiendstien and pukloski most of the credit. The victims are Dr.Ford and her family and Judge Kavanaugh and his family.Dr.Ford took a beating over this and I hope she is Ok.Judge Kavanaugh seems to have weathered the storm a bit better but if you watched the hearing you will see his mother has not.I do not know if she will be Ok.

This hearing clearly shows that if the democrat party is to survive they need new blood. If you are a democrat you should find a way to run for some office.A one party system is not good and that could be what happens. The democrats in office cannot be trusted and Dr.Ford found that out the hard way.I doubt if it happens that the media will cover it,but I do not doubt that Dr.Ford ends up at least a week in a mental institution, with a room next door to Judge Kavanaugh`s mother. Not a single democrat on that panel gives a damn if that happens.

Trump, the man accused of sexual assault by 19 women, and currently, President of the United States (the most powerful position in the land), last night mocked Dr. Christine Blasey Ford at a campaign rally in Mississippi. So far, Trump has refrained from mocking the 19 women who have accused him of sexual assault. But, stay tuned, it might happen! Given all of Trump's past insults to various people, what surprises me is that it took Trump so long to start mocking Dr. Ford!

Meanwhile, the New York Times obtained a letter written in 1983 by Brett Kavanaugh, part of which reads:

"In a 1983 letter, a copy of which was reviewed by The New York Times, the young Judge Kavanaugh warned his friends of the danger of eviction from an Ocean City, Md., condo. In a neatly written postscript, he added: Whoever arrived first at the condo should “warn the neighbors that we’re loud, obnoxious drunks with prolific pukers among us. Advise them to go about 30 miles...”

"The Senate Should Not Confirm Kavanaugh" Signed, 1,700+ Law Professors (and Counting). New York Times, October 3, 2018

"The following letter will be presented to the United States Senate on Oct. 4. It will be updated as more signatures are received.

Judicial temperament is one of the most important qualities of a judge. As the Congressional Research Service explains, a judge requires “a personality that is even-handed, unbiased, impartial, courteous yet firm, and dedicated to a process, not a result.” The concern for judicial temperament dates back to our founding; in Federalist 78, titled “Judges as Guardians of the Constitution,” Alexander Hamilton expressed the need for “the integrity and moderation of the judiciary.”

We are law professors who teach, research and write about the judicial institutions of this country. Many of us appear in state and federal court, and our work means that we will continue to do so, including before the United States Supreme Court. We regret that we feel compelled to write to you, our Senators, to provide our views that at the Senate hearings on Sept. 27, Judge Brett Kavanaugh displayed a lack of judicial temperament that would be disqualifying for any court, and certainly for elevation to the highest court of this land.

The question at issue was of course painful for anyone. But Judge Kavanaugh exhibited a lack of commitment to judicious inquiry. Instead of being open to the necessary search for accuracy, Judge Kavanaugh was repeatedly aggressive with questioners. Even in his prepared remarks, Judge Kavanaugh described the hearing as partisan, referring to it as “a calculated and orchestrated political hit,” rather than acknowledging the need for the Senate, faced with new information, to try to understand what had transpired. Instead of trying to sort out with reason and care the allegations that were raised, Judge Kavanaugh responded in an intemperate, inflammatory and partial manner, as he interrupted and, at times, was discourteous to senators.

As you know, under two statutes governing bias and recusal, judges must step aside if they are at risk of being perceived as or of being unfair. As Congress has previously put it, a judge or justice “shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.” These statutes are part of a myriad of legal commitments to the impartiality of the judiciary, which is the cornerstone of the courts.

We have differing views about the other qualifications of Judge Kavanaugh. But we are united, as professors of law and scholars of judicial institutions, in believing that he did not display the impartiality and judicial temperament requisite to sit on the highest court of our land.

Signed, with institutional affiliation listed for identification purposes only, by the following:"

Don't s**t me Bridgier. You know exactly what this was. It was a carefully planned and executed tactic to destroy whomever Trump nominated to the Court. The fact that you would condone this kind of despicable behavior goes directly to character. Not that anyone had expectations for anything greater than SOP here. Kavanaugh was just collateral damage in an action that did more to hurt the cause of women victims than it did him.

The sad part is that there is no lesson to be gained here. I suspect that when Amy Coney Barrett is nominated to replace 'ol snoozing RBG, the Democrats will produce a phalanx of sexually abused Chippendale dancers from her college days.
