Miles City Cowboy wrestlers Quinton Sprandel, Barry Anderson, Jonas Grenz, Scott Ellison, Bridgier Wood and Buck Olson have qualified for the All Class State Wrestling Tournament at the MetraPark Arena in Billings.

Still at 189, Bridgier?

Some more detail on that thread regarding Bridgier's wrestling career, including some commentary from Bridgier, himself.

Little did we know at that time that the young wrestler Barry Anderson mentioned there would go on to put Miles City on the map by eventually winning Capital One's "Mascot of the Year" award twice as Monte the Montana Grizzly, and then go on to have a 12-year career as Benny the Bull for the Chicago Bulls. Barry retired from that gig a couple years ago but the Bulls fans sure enjoyed his antics while he was there.

Thanks for the clarification Cubby. Due to the timing/graduation year I thought the 2 Barrys were one and the same. My mistake.

I'm sure there's plenty of people who could talk about the glory years of Cowboy wrestling - three state championships in the mid to late 80's speaks for itself, but I was there during the transition period between that and the really bad years for the program.

When Shannon Tait stepped on the scale his senior year and made weight at 112 is when the School board or the boosters club should have started asking some hard questions.
