Today, around the world, women marched. Here in Miles City, a couple visiting from Australia marched with us because they weren't in Australia to march there.

The marchers don't actually leave litter or trash but go on believing the propaganda that go us into this mess. And the issue, for those of you too dim-witted to grasp it, is not trash.

IT IS HUMAN RIGHTS.

Let's talk about trash -- rich, white trash!

I remember back in 1964, when Nelson Rockefeller wanted to run for president, he was not acceptable to the GOP as a candidate because Rockefeller was divorced and had remarried. My how things changed in 2016!

In 2016, the GOP endorsed candidate Donald Trump who has had 3 wives (all of whom expected his loyalty and didn't get it); their candidate has also been accused by numerous women of sexual harassment and sexual assault; and last week the Wall Street Journal reported that he paid $130,000 to silence an adult-porn star from talking about their consensual sexual encounter.

The GOP candidate also dodged the draft during the Vietnam War with 4 draft deferments and was classified 4-F (not qualified for military service). One of those deferments involved heel spurs. Additionally, candidate Trump has had 6 business bankruptcies.

In 2016, a video tape surfaced in which the GOP candidate Trump bragged to Billy Bush about "grabbing women by the pu**y" which is a form of sexual assault. NBC fired Billy Bush. But Trump was elected president. And, you wonder why women are protesting and marching around the world!

Then in 2017, President Trump endorsed an accused pedophile (by numerous women), Roy Moore, when he was running for the U.S. Senate. Electing an accused pedophile was way too far even for the people of Alabama -- but not President Trump who wanted Moore in the U.S. Senate. Now, the author of the "Art of the Deal" has managed to do a "No Deal" and the government is shut down on the anniversary of his inauguration. Oh yes, I didn't mention the investigation into the Russia connection with the Trump campaign. And, I didn't mention that Trump couldn't tell which side was the wrong side in Charlotteville, Virginia when the KKK and neo-nazis had their freedom march.

I say, build a wall around Trump -- the same guy who was deemed "not qualified for military service" and who is now president of the United States and Commander in Chief of the U.S. military. Trump is an embarrassment for the United States.

Well from the pictures I saw posted,in many places it was the Littering Womens March 2018.Here is an example of what I saw in the pictures. One day on my way to work in the middle of nowhere I saw this nice family stopped by the side of the road and they were changing a baby`s diaper.Nice family, nice new car. When I cam back by the same spot later I noticed a huge pile of diapers and garbage tossed out on the side of the road.I thought to myself how wrong I was when I first saw them and thought oh what a nice family.

I was looking at your posts about the Women's march and feel compelled to add my unsolicited comment. When did a positive, women enpowering movement become a destructive man-hating, particularly Trump hating vehicle? I didn't attend the march, but apparently you did.
Could anyone feel more deeply about the subjugation of women than me? My first horrible marriage was so physically, mentally and emotionally abusive that fear ruled my every decision.
MY BEST FRIEND IN ALL THE WORLD, BARB JONES OF MILES CITY, AND HER TWO PRECIOUS CHILDREN WERE MURDERED BY HER ABUSIVE HUSBAND, BILL BENDER, ALSO OF MILES CITY.
I'll let that last sentence sink in a moment, so you understand my commitment to the enpowerment of women. Why would any woman subject herself to joining an organized religion where she could hold no office,no teaching position and no ministry? Corporate executive positions are so rare and such an oddity that some magazines now profile women CEOS.
Yes, President Trump, (on the bus) made an ignorant, demeaning statement against women. He's a man! That's what men do! They're stupid! They brag about their sexual encounters even if most of these encounters are figments of their imagination! Most Americans chuckled and moved on!
Compare that stupid statement to Hillary's Benghazi statement, "So what if a few Americans died. What difference does it make?" Which statement elicits a response? Which statement shocks you? If it's Trump's, "Seriously?" Perhaps it would be a good time to re-evaluate your perspective and lighten up a little.
Why was President Trump chosen as the focal point of this movement?

The world needs less hate and more kindness. We don't need to hate all men for being men, any more than you would hate a dog for having an accident on the rug. We women should instead show the men why we warrant being revered and our potential used and rewarded! We have a lot to give to this tired old world. There are a lot of great men and great women out there. I think with understanding and forgiveness instead of anger, this will all work out. I guess I just don't understand the anger!

Cheryl, I'm very sorry about the loss of your friend and children. I'm sure it's a kind of loss that gives you a pause of grief every day, and will the rest of your days. I hope you can find some spiritual peace in whatever form of beliefs you have.
I agree men do dumb stuff, and women have been known to have their fair share of mistakes. Please don't allow some of the political views on this social media site get in your head too much. Some are just bored, Some truly feel they have a highly knowledgeable mind, that requires them too take pause and enlighten the less fortunate. The political ebb and flow is what makes this USA country the greatest experiment of latter times. Just BLOW OFF some of the MC.COM HOMMIE CLAN. MAY YOUR HEART NOT BE TROUBLED. SEEK BALANCE. CHEERS and may GOD BLESS

The women's march isn't about man hating. It's about women protesting what some bad men do to women -- like sexually harass them, abuse and beat them, assault and rape them, pay them less than they would pay a man doing the same work, and not enforcing the law equally to protect women's rights. Trump has been accused by numerous women of sexual harassment and sexual assault. He has admitted (on videotape) to sexually assaulting women. Lots of women around the world don't like or respect him because of his admitted behavior (and other reasons). And, his current wife probably doesn't like him because she just found out that he paid a porn star $130,000 to keep silent about an affair that took place after the birth of their child. A lot of people around the world think the U.S. deserves a better leader and role model.

By the way, here are a few more photos of last Saturday's women's march. There were quite a few men also marching that day. Why? Because the men I know don't like women to be treated in deplorable ways and they are hoping things improve for the women they love and respect -- and women in general.

Thank you, Man from Snowy River!
Mary Catherine, I looked at the photos, read the signs, saw the anger and read the comments. Some of the comments were quite good! One lady wrote, "People will look at the pictures and choose their chosen narrative." I fully understand your feelings about the abuse, mainly because I personally experienced most, if not all of the abuse you're fighting against. I fully support women's rights! (for Barb Jones as well as myself!)
I'm also aware of collective group behavior and how it can escalate into anger and hysteria. (Ox-Bow Incident). Not to vindicate President Trump but you must know of the many recent Presidents who were charged with the same or similar allegations. What of them?
Are you sure, Mary Catherine, of the truth of all these allegations against President Trump because they were put on the internet or could they be supposition? Circumstancial evidence is incompetent. Positive proof is necessary to establish a fact.
Please don't think I'm de-valuing your causes. I'm just wondering if it might be misdirected. Is this the best way to gain dignity, respect and kindness for all women? If it is, more power to you! If it's sour grapes over a specific candidate not winning an election, well, I'm shaking my head right now because I don't know the best way to put this.
Many of these women are intelligent, wonderful, well-respected women of the highest, with class and decorum. I appaud them. To the others; the followers with no idea of what they're trying to achieve: I hope they will let the anger dissipate, do what they can to enhance the moment, enhance all lives and remember they are to behave not like angry women but like ladies.
I thank you for posting this because it is an issue which must be addressed.

Hopefully, in time we will know the truth of these allegations against Trump. However, we also may never know. I do know there is a long history of women not being believed when they report harassment or assault. The most recent examples involve the numerous young gymnasts who were not believed when they reported the illegal, criminal behavior they were experiencing by their team doctor, Dr. Nassar, who was recently convicted and sentenced. Today, the president of Michigan State University resigned because many of these young women were not believed -- in some cases even by their parents -- so the abuse became systemic and pervasive for many, many years and many young women were assaulted and traumatized.

https://cabs.msu.edu/news...signs.html

We do seem to be having a national conversation these days about sexual harassment, sexual assault and sexual misconduct -- probably because it is long overdue.

And, I think the anger is so pervasive because so many women have experienced abuse, sexual harassment and/or sexual assault (rape) and are tired of it all and have been traumatized by it all.

Here is a link to some statistics: The first one is "Every 98 seconds an American is sexually assaulted." That statistic translates into a lot of people. And, for those traumatized people to look at Trump and know that he has been accused by many women of sexual harassment and assault -- it's hard to take. It seems that until recently many rich, powerful men have gotten away with criminal behavior just because they were rich and powerful. And, that is just wrong! So, women are speaking out, and marching and protesting hoping it will get better, if not in their lives -- in the lives of their daughters. Enough is enough!

That is in the transcript. There is no way of knowing if hillary made statements on the order of who cares if some americans got killed,or who cares if some soldiers got killed. Is every word hillary has ever spoken in that transcript you linked to?hillary does not give a rat`s @ss that soldiers died under her watch, she was busy selling uranium and such and planning for launching the biggest world wide criminal organization in history when she was elected president. I have a question.Did hillary and the clinton foundation have to give any of the money back her donors gave when she did not get elected president? They were sure clamoring for it.Now why would they want their charitable contributions back just because hillary did not get elected the president of the most powerful nation on the planet?I wonder if any of the donors to the clinton foundation that wanted their money back have died.

In the meantime, here's the most recent sexual harassment/assault news.

Steve Wynn has resigned as Republican National Committee finance chairman amid sexual misconduct allegations.

https://www.washingtonpos...c7c2a15a77

(Nothing says "Not Guilty" as much as "I Resign.")

And, it turns out that Steve Wynn wrote Greg Gianforte a check the day after Gianforte body slammed The Guardian reporter, Ben Jacobs, for asking a question.

http://wex.theoklahomapub...le/2647250

Question: What's the difference between sexual predator, Steve Wynn and sexual predator Donald Trump? Answer: Steve Wynn didn’t go bankrupt owning casinos.
Going bankrupt owning casinos like Trump did 6 times takes a special kind of genius.

Now it's time for a history review: Here's a news story about the numerous women who have accused Trump of sexual harassment. This news story was written around the time last year when Trump was paying hush money to porn star, Stormy Daniels, about their affair which took place after the birth of Barron Trump.

"Trump Campaign Rocked by New Wave of Sexual Harassment Allegations: A Series of Women Have Come Forward with Claims about the Republican, While Footage Emerges of Inappropriate Remarks about a Young Girl" by Maria L. La Ganga and Ben Jacobs The Guardian, October 13, 2016

https://www.theguardian.c...nt-stories

And, of course, Donald Trump blamed the Clintons for his conduct!

https://www.theguardian.c...york-times

Now it's time to listen to Michelle Obama, a lawyer, explain things:

ROCKEN BC sure blew it. Surely you remember Monica got a nice check. Lets change the Narrative. And get back to the simple and far more important debate on what the Congress and Senate is doing.
Oh and word on tax reform. Easy for you too say TAX MORE. I seriously doubt you've ever had a good enough job that your taxes where much above what welfare recipients get. The good news is at 65 you'll still get Medicare, However "You just might be one of those who wrangled Medicaid and Disability. They are known as "I WANT MY FREE STUFF". It's OK. Carry on. You continually imply, by your mean spirited and ignorant diatribe, that anyone who needs assistance, including SSI, which happens to be insurance, is a bum or worse. My personal fantasy regarding snowy is that he'll come on here with some sob story and a link to a gofundme for himself or a family member and I get tell him that I hope his moocher ass dies alone and cold in a street somewhere. I'm happy to see my tax dollars blown on SNAP benefits, but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay out of my pocket to help pay for his black lung treatments. It's petty and mean-spirited, but such is the age we live in.

Now, my personal fantasy regarding oddy is a little more... baroque, and certainly can't be detailed on a family website such as this (but, teaser - it DOES involve a 12" rubber chicken)

Fellas SSI is based on what you pay into it over a 30 to 40 year life time. You can draw on it at 62 if you don't mind getting 75% of full benefits.
SSDI is Social Security Disability. Which is fairly easy too get should you submit a claim, physical or mental. Also a fraction of what you paid into SSI..
For those who have dire need it's great. For those milking the system not so great.

SSI is actually Supplemental Security Income that is funded by general tax revenues for disabled adults and children. It is different from SSDI. I think you may be thinking of regular Social Security that we pay into for years before becoming eligible. It is confusing for sure.

The current crop of morons like RRO1 and Snowy are just pathetic. Those who can write in legible sentences, like Ike and Oddjob, have retreated into silence over the embarassment of how stupid the Republican base is these days. A product of the dumbing down of America.

Regular Social Security is what you pay into when you work and receive at retirement age.
Social Security Disability(SSDI) is also what you pay into when you work. If you become disabled before you reach retirement age you may be able to draw SSDI. You have to prove to the Social Security Administration(SSA)that you are disabled. Not always an easy thing to do. Supplemental Security Income(SSI)is for disabled people who have not paid into regular Social Security enough because they have not been able to work enough. A lot of the younger disabled are on SSI. If you have worked and paid in a limited amount you may be able to draw both SSDI and SSI. The higher the SSDI the lower amount the SSI would be. When SSDI reaches a certain income level you would not be eligible for any SSI. SSI is basically a poverty program.

While it's honestly none of your business, I'm happy to answer you question.

No, I'm not on SSI or SSDI, or even SS.

Once upon a time however, I found myself as a young man of 18 with a girlfriend who'd just had a baby, and realized that I had, essentially, two choices: drop out of school to support my family with whatever minimum wage job I could procure in Miles City or on one of the surrounding ranches, or swallow my pride and accept public assistance while going to school.

I'm not going to say that the SNAP, WIC and TANF benefits that me and my family received had the greatest ROI ever for the government, but as I look back over the last 20 years of W2's, I feel fairly confident that the government has been repayed in full can now count me as a successful citizen contributing to the commonweal. My children have had the opportunity to also become assets to this great nation, an outcome that that certainly would have been less probable if I'd chosen otherwise at 18.

So, if your question was intended to embarrass me, or cast me as some sort of leach upon the republic, I'm sorry, but I'm an unrepentant recipient of public assistance, and have been happy to contribute a portion of my tax dollars forward for that purpose.

Now, let's discuss YOUR situation RR - do you get a mortgage deduction? CRP payments? Subsidized grazing or insurance rates? I'm happy to acknowledge the public teat in MY mouth, how's the taste in yours?

I see gunner emilson projects. That is a psychological term when someone describes others as themselves but they do not consciously know it many or sometimes no times.Either gunner has been learned up to the level as Jethro Bodine without the common sense or physical ability or actually read part of a book.Like the pictures part of the book lol. gunner calls other people morons like a thief accuses other people of stealing.
bridgier I have been wrong so many times that I am rarely wrong anymore. It is called learning not getting teached up like you must have been in your taxypayer payed for college.
So beligeritier. No CRP,no mortgage deduction,I will not even make the joke about your - nevermind about the subsidized grazing. It seems you mentioned your children HAD a chance,so did they? Was it subsidized getting teached up or all learned up?Why HAD?
I hope I am wrong about you bridgier but I really do not think so.

Well gunnir I gnu this person.I will not elaborate much but this person said that the ONE thing he could not tolerate was tardiness. he is a democrat. No work would get done but everyone had to be there on time.Of course he had inherited everything.I put you in that category with spelling. It is not important to what you say or what your message is or what you have accomplished in your life it is more important that you do not make spelling errors. That and if you are not tardy.I think you are tardy for life.

I am starting to think the child(ren) you talk about your girlfriend having conceived or other children you have may be Russian.Have you had a paternity test? Are these children illegitimate?I will now forever leave your children out of this Bridgier unless you bring them up.I have to think I actually am out of line on this other than you brought up the children so I believe we are equally to blame.Kind of an old standard but/and I still wish it was respected.I have stooped to something that is really against what I stand for.And you did too.Once again I hope I am wrong about you Bridgier.

brigier brought children in to the conversation you have recently posted milescitycomwebmaster. I did not. What brigier did in this conversation/discussion is similiar to using children in a divorce.I would think Milescitywebmaster would remand bridgier for bringing children in to this discussion and involving children.OMG I would have thought milescitywebmaster would have read the posts and noticed brigier bringing children in as an excuse for taking welfare before milescitywebmaster commented.I mean really, bridgier could have just said well I fell on hard times and I looked to the government for some help until I got on my feet.Nope, bridgier brought children in to the conversation/debate and justified taking other people`s money and used child(ren) as an excuse to take other people`s money.brigier was on welfare and makes excuses for it and uses children as a big part of the excuse.Hey,I hope brigier and his family is doing great. But my questions as a taxpayer are still there.Need more taxpayer questions brigier?I have an idea.Leave children out of discussions here unless you go to another country and rescue a child(ren) that is starving to death and need some help with their survival.

Yeah I have been involved with rescuing children and am working on projects.I need some help on some of the projects as it seems I am not an young as I used to be and some require physical activity as in a bit inland in a jungle.Packing in everything in to pump water 24,well maybe 23 hours a day with no electricity.I will not bore you with the legalities I just need to get it done.I also intend to remain anonymous even if I pack this in myself and am eaten by natives after I put the water in. Hey,nature takes it`s course

I have not read all of the posts in this thread.

I saw your post and was simply pointing out - to effectively debate a topic, don't attack the messenger - attack the message.

I did not take debate classes in high school or college, but I believe one of the core concepts is something called "ad hominem".

Wikipedia wrote:
Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby an argument is rebutted by attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem

My comment to you also applies to anyone else in this thread that the above pertains to.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I have to admire Bridgier for being a caring person. Children are really our future and to eliminate them from conversation does not make sense? You have really become successful, Bridgier. Kudos to you and your family.
