I think we make a very good team. We wish you peace!

Love,
Jobie (a.k.a. The Bull)

CHRISTMAS BELLS

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
and wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Till ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men."

--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1863

Karen, thanks for the Holiday greetings. I hope it's a good time for you folks too.
How old is Jobie? It seems like he's been posting here since day one.

Thank you, Hal! Jobie is 10 1/2 now (turns 11 next May). I honestly don't remember when he started his appearances here, but it's been for quite some time now. The number of Jobie cards that go out (both hard copy and e-mail) has increased significantly. The e-mails go out in English and Portuguese now because he has so many friends in Brazil (although I only post the English version here). I'll be the first to admit it's a bit unusual, but have always looked at it from the perspective that making people smile is a good thing.

We wish you and yours a most wonderful holiday season and all the best in the year to come!

Thank you, Jeri! We had some fun with this outfit (the "scarf" is really a throw sized blanket) and Jobie had a grand time showing off for the various shots (believe I took about 40 pictures and then selected this one for the card since it gave the appearance that he was speaking).

We wish you and yours a wonderful holiday and all the best in the year to come!
