I added a new feature to the site. If you are not interested in seeing posts from the "National/World News & Issues Forum" - you can now hide those from view.

To do that, go to:

My Account > My Settings > Forums

Or here's a quick link:

http://milescity.com/acco...ngs/forums

Just enable the checkbox to hide the posts and hit 'Update'. Done.

After that, those posts will no longer appear (unless you specifically visit the forum). If you want to change it back, then go back to the same location and toggle the option. How you set it is up to you.

Well, that is tempting. Thanks offering the option.

: -) The Recent Topics menu certainly looks different if the National/World Political Posts are hidden. But I'm chicken . . . afraid that I'll miss something good so I suppose I'll undo the "hide feature."

Bless you. I miss the gold old days when we could chat about stuff without the conservatives dropping in to call us names.

No Amorette, that would be YOU who does the name-calling and stereotyping...and quite frankly, you are childish when you do so.

I appreciate the option to hide the political stuff, Larry. Thanks for activating that feature. I likely will utilize it. Mary Catherine is getting to be a bit much.

It's pretty easy to call people names when they vote in cheeto Hitler as president. But what do I know? I'm pretty sure Amorette and her love of history help her make very sound assessments of others. I don't think you can relegate her astute judgements to 'stereotyping.'

Amorette- it would be nice to have conservatives stay out of everything political, but then we end up in an echo chamber where we never hear opposing views. I feel like analyzing and listening to the other side helps us to define a better, more articulate argument.

*and I'm out of the lurking shadows after a long absence. I've long moved away from Miles City but I still find myself on this website at least once a week *.

Larry, the National posts aren't showing in my feed, and I don't have the box checked.

I put this feature on hold to try out something different instead.

The "National/World News, Politics & Issues" Forum posts are still on the front page. They're just in a different box, a little lower on the left.

I'm thinking perhaps there could be an option to make the front page and the next/prev topic buttons look and act like they do now. With another option to make it look and behave like it always has.

Or perhaps I should just forget about it and put things back the way they were.

I'll revisit the whole issue next week.

Thanks for telling us, Larry. I spent all of yesterday worrying the Russians had gotten Mary Catherine.
