Here's another great submission. A menu from The Crossroads Inn (from about the mid-1970's).

You can find it by clicking the above image or the following link:

And also in the History area.

Pretty sure I've seen this before by way of Hal's hand ether here or on FB, but it is pretty cool.

Every time I see that menu or one similar to it from that era, I ask myself the same question most others probably would: what would those same foods cost if that restaurant were open today? Can't help but wonder...

My brother has some wonderful old black and white photos of my family dining at the Crossroads. Fond memories.

I saw some of those pics a long time ago when your brother posted a link to them on these forums.

The Crossroads hosted many big parties and events. You would think there would be a ton of photos that show the inside of the place. But I have seen surprisingly few pictures of the inside.

That's probably why somebody invented the "flashbulb".

I have colored photos of my parents 25th anniversary party that we had at the Crossroads. I miss that place.

I loved that menu. I miss "nice" restaurants with "regular" food. Nowadays they are all trying to out-fancy each other and have made it more difficult for "comfort food" fans such as myself to get a satisfying meal in a nice restaurant.
