Thanks for the link, Hal. Those pictures are awesome.

I particularly like the sign "No Beer Sold to Indians", and the bar scene where (although I am sure it is just the lighting), it looks like everyone is drinking draft dark beer. In that same picture, I had to zoom in on the beer bottle on the bar to figure what the heck was in it - cigarette butts. You sure don't see that these days.

I’m thinking there were still state & federal laws in place at that time banning the sale of alcohol to Native Americans.

But it does look like it was a lively community on a Saturday night : -)
