Baseball Intentional Walk

It seems like not much has been mentioned about this, but MLB changed a rule of the game of baseball so that - instead of requiring pitches for an intentional walk - now, a sign can be given by the manager to intentionally walk a batter.

This makes me sad.

Some of the greatest games I've seen had things in them that didn't work out exactly as planned. You know, like a pitcher intending to do an intentional walk, but then they completely F'ed up a toss.

I'm going to miss that element of the game.

Did they decide to try starting extra innings with a runner on second?

They might as well have, eh? After all, it would make the game shorter.
