Political, but not really

Do you think many people are swayed by all the 'junk' political mail that is being sent out to voters? Today is the first day in a while that we did not get any of the junk. I think it is a waste of money and very irritating. Those pieces make it to a recycle paper box, that sits just inside our door. We also screen calls.

It doesn't sway me, so pretty much a waste of paper and postage. Same for the political ads on TV. It's not that hard to look up the relevant issues for each candidate and then make your own decision based on that.

Plus 'facts' included in the political junk mail are just cherry picked sound bites to push an agenda, not inform anyone of anything.

Candidate X hates puppies because he voted against a bill that would have fed puppies... but they never mentioned that the bill also required the torcher and extermination of all dogs over 1 year old. But if you just print the first part, candidate X looks like an evil puppy hater.

The only person swaying is the post person packing all that ass-wipe paper around. .
