Custer Gun Club Fall Schedule Changes

Fall Schedule Changes:

Forgive me for being a little late getting this out to everyone, but we just wanted to let everyone know that the Trap/Skeet shooting has changed to winter hours. There is no loner shotgun shooting on Wednesday nights, but there is Trap/Skeet every Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM (weather permitting) The price per round of either Trap or Skeet is 1 token. Tokens can be purchases for $3 for club members or $4 for non-members.

Just as a reminder, as always the rifle range off Sunday Creek is open for members use from Sunrise to Sunset. This changes daily so please check the sunrise/sunset times before you go, just like you would if your were out hunting. Or just remember that if the sun is not visible the range is closed. Memberships will be suspended for shooting after sunset.

Speaking of memberships, NEW memberships can be purchased online at the club's website if you have not been a member before, but renewals for 2016 has been closed for the year (after giving several notices and a 4 month grace period!) Renewals for 2017 will be sold from Dec. 1 - Feb. 15 ONLY!

Thanks,
Jesse Smith

Trap/Skeet shooting today at 1pm. Someone come shoot so our volunteer openers have someone to keep opening for.

That is correct.

Also to anyone who want's to see trap/skeet shooting continue in Miles City:
I'd like to mention that we have volunteers committed to opening the trap/skeet range at Spotted Eagle every week. We have had zero shooters come out the last two weeks, and dang few the few weeks before that.

I know it's hunting season and all, but if no one is going to shoot when we have people taking the time out of their schedule to make sure it's available EVERY week, then please don't complain if you show up and find that the volunteers have quit opening.

Right now we still have trap/skeet shooting every Sunday at 1 pm, but don't be surprised if our volunteers get tired of interrupting their Sunday just to go stand on the range by themselves.

I'm not trying to force anyone to shoot. I'm just warning folks that if there is no participation, then there is no reason to continue the service. This is not any kind of official announcement from the club, just me relaying the vibe I'm getting from the volunteers.

I'm one of the volunteers who have been helping out at the trap range and I have heard from a lot of other people that they don't want to do it because of how things were handled in the past. I would just like to let everyone know that is not how this is being ran now. There are really no regulation on what to shoot or how big of load or any of that stuff. Just come on out and have some fun on Sunday's at 1pm. If no one shows up this Sunday I'm going to have to back out on this till more people start coming out.
