The CCDHS Science Club just released the design for their 2016-17 fundraiser t-shirt and it features famous Miles City native Maurice Hilleman.

These funds will go towards helping the members of science club travel to and compete in Science Olympiad and Science Bowl where they will defend their title as Regional Champions.
The artwork featured on the shirt is a painting by CCDHS Alumni Gavin Herzog.
The subject of the shirt, Maurice Hilleman, is the most prolific vaccinologist of all time. He and his teams developed vaccines for measles, mumps, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, chickenpox, meningitis, pneumonia and several others. Because of his vaccine work he is credited with saving more lives than any other human being in history; numbers that increase every year. He graduated from Custer County High in 1938, and from Montana State in 1941 before moving to the University of Chicago where he earned a doctorate.
[On a personal note: in the past, I've directly donated to support our local science club, because the last thing I needed was another t-shirt I wasn't going to wear that often... but THIS YEAR, the design is amazing, the shirt is a comfy baseball-style T, and the painting and its subject are something I am proud to wear! I've already bought a set for the family-- please join me in support of this great high school club!]
If you are interested in ordering a shirt (or 10!), they can be directly purchased here. Shirts can be shipped to your home for a small shipping cost, or if you live in Miles City, the shirt(s) will be delivered by a Science Club member (cool, and cheaper): http://www.booster.com/20...&side=back
