Dislike Feature Removed

The "Dislike" feature has been removed, since apparently some have nothing better to do than get their jollies by visiting MilesCity.com and disliking every single post made by people they apparently don't like (and perhaps others) -- no matter the content.

So, for now, it's Facebook "Happyland!". Like away.

When I get the time, I'll rework the entire "Dislike" feature so an algorithm is used to determine exactly who can dislike posts and to what degree each dislike actually means.

That will be a bunch of work, so it will probably be a bunch of time until that occurs.

Regards, Larry

Have you thought about Agree/Disgree. I think it may be a lot less confrontational then Like/Dislike.
So no likes means you dislike it.

There I gave you a Like. When I get a chance, I'll revisit the entire feature and do something -- perhaps similar to that, or perhaps something else.

Although in general, I would assume posts that don't get likes -- either the readers are indifferent or don't agree. No likes is probably similar to a dislike. But at least not so brutal to new and infrequent posters as receiving a big red dislike tally in their face.

LOL, why would one let the thumbs down run their lives. Hey it simply means some one disagred with either the post or comment. I do know no matter what some say there are those 4 or 5 that will thumbs down regardless. Well they got their way so now they can feel like the superiors for sure. Times are changing for sure..

What is simultaneous hilarious and scary are the "likes" Richard got with this feature on posts made six years ago. O_O

Isn't it strange that since Webmaster removed the dislike button some argumentative people have stopped posting? Nothing to get off on.

Perhaps they figure if you ignore haiku, it will go away.

I haven't posted in a while, but I find this disheartening.

The option to agree with or disagree with someone is fundamental to any intelligent conversation. Only allowing the ability to like something is just watering down a forum.

I have a feeling that you were bombarded by someone who had a VERY unpopular opinion that didn't like finding out they had an unpopular opinion.

If people's feelings get hurt because lots of people don't agree with them, I'd advise them to refrain from using the internet.

Sad day

I've always enjoyed seeing how many people agree or disagree with a comment. It lets you know where you fit in the grand scheme of things.

Over-sensitivity ruins it for the rest of us.

Here's to making sure no one's feel bads get hurt.

I've got broad enough shoulders. I can take it if someone dislikes something I post.
